We enjoyed our stay here as we were driving cross country. The inn is clean, cozy, and full of charm. The community kitchen was great with lots of counter space and all the items we needed to make our dinner. So nice to have a place to cook instead of eating on the road! The in is full of charming...

I loved this place. I was only here for one night but wish I could have stayed longer. I was in the 4-bed dorm room and it was very comfy and cosy. There's a really nice living room full of books which I really wanted to read but as I was here for such a short time that wasn't possible....

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Yes, guests who would like to cook are welcome to use the full kitchen and can create their own meals, a welcome relief to some travelers on the road for a while and tired of eating out so much. There is a Friday farmer's market in Cambria which is an excellent place...

Three friends and I stayed here for one night on a trip up the central coast. We were in the four bed dorm which was basic but had everything you'd need and was very cosy. The whole place was charming with loads of books, maps, quirky decoration and historic features. As others have mentioned it felt more like a B&B...

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. As the new owner of the Inn, I am wondering if we keep the small bunkroom and lovely comments from guests like you are steering me towards keeping it available. We'll be adding more privacy curtains to make it even more comfortable soon. There are some new things in the works as...

Most hostels are clean and well run given my experience particularly the ones belong to the international HI network. However, this September I went to stay at Bridge Street Hostel, it was so bad and harsh treatment to the customer. I booked a private room paying close to the regular local motel rate since I want some privacy not the...

I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience. I am the new owner/manager of the Bridge Street Inn as of January 2016 and some things are changing. For one thing, our lowest priced room that you booked is downstairs, next to the social area. We have put this information on our booking system so that guests are made aware of this...

I'm giving this hostel a poor rating not because I don't like the place or the people running it, all this was perfectly fine. The hostel policy deserves the poor rating due to the fact that they kick you out of the place between the hours of 10.30am to 5:00pm even if you are checked in for a few nights...

Found it as a hostel but felt more like staying at a Bed-n-Breakfast but at hostel prices. Great value for just the night or I could see it being very tranquil for those that would be looking for a longer stay and looking for that. The owner and staff were very helpful to boot.

We only stayed here a night on the way down the West Coast but instantly wished we had more time to spend here. It was one of those places we felt relaxed and at home as soon as we walked in the door. As many others have already said, it's like visiting your Aunt or Cousin's house. Well priced, staff...

This is my second stay here at The Bridge Street Inn. Brandon and Jan are still as hospitable as always. The Inn is so charming and has a historical feel to it. We loved this place and felt welcome the moment we arrived. My husbands first hostel experience. Our real home is a cottage in the uk and this felt as warm and friendly even with the shared bathroom. “I love the guest room as it has high ceilings and high windows and allows natural light to come into the room to get the most of the sunshine hours. It is like staying in a loft. I love the colour of the room as it is a golden and we had our own private wash room which was a bonus. The room has its own private entrance so that you can come and go as you please and it is separate from the rest of the building so it is a little quieter.”
