The mud bath was wonderful and Freddy Montero of Costa Rica Private Tours explained in rigorous detail how the lava rock appeared. Borinquin is a beautiful place on earth and hopefully it will stay this way. The grounds around the area are so well cared for. We went for lunch; This was a beautiful high beamed cieling, dining room. Curved windows gave...

But not in that order! This place is a mountain paradise. Reminded me of a Catskills resort. You travel via bumpy local roads past small villages and farms and a geothermal project. We saw toucans and monkeys. Then we rode horses up to the top of the zip line course and then had a lovely traditional 'typica' lunch and then...

This place is a jewel tucked away on 7000 acres on the side off a volcano. Understand that it is very hilly and has been there for sometime. If your looking for the Ritz then go to New York in February. If you are open minded and allow this place to be seen as it is then you could not...

I fell head over heels in love with this resort! The room was big and comfy, the gardens are gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. There's a river that runs through the grounds, a forest, a sauna, a pool, hot springs, and an amazing spa. It basically has everything you could possibly want in a...

This resort could be so much better if managed properly. We booked a bungalow but when we arrived we were introduced to an upgrade so we gladly accepted. Upon further time into our stay we realized they upgraded us so a large group of seniors could stay at the bottom of their enormous hill. We saw they were analyzing every...

The hotel is a bit outdated, buggy and the furniture was uncomfortable. That being said, it was a great place to see animals. I loved the pool and hot springs and the mud bath was the best. Very remote and no in room Wi-fi. Generally this is a good place that I would recommend if you don't mind isolation.

Borinquen was such a beautiful place! They property is thousands of acres at the base of the volcano. We rode horses, zip lined over a gorgeous waterfall, rode atvs, and enjoyed the hot springs and mud baths-- all in just two days! Our 7-year-old son loved it! Our bungalow room was very large and very quiet, with a nice view....

Day tour with horse riding, zipline, mud bath and lunch. All amazing and friendly and helpful staff. Horse riding was so much fun and the view on top was incredible. Lunch was delicious. Dinner was also tasty! Also stayed one night in a bungalow with kingsize bed. Clean and pretty room, spacious and amazing smelling shampoo supplies. Nice balcony view...

When I dream of going back to Costa Rica, it is to Borinquen. This secluded and peaceful resort is well worth the bumpy trip to get there. The sprawling grounds boast natural hot springs, natural sauna, mud baths, horseback tours, 4x4 tours, ziplining, hiking trails, a delicious restaurant that features food grown and raised on their land, and service befitting...
