We drove up from Playa Flamingo and arrived for our 9:00 am appointment for horseback riding, steam room/mud bath/spa, water slide & lunch. We throughly enjoyed our day and was happy with the well kept grounds and friendly staff. We did have a problem of our prepaid reservation being made for the wrong date but thankfully the front desk representative...

Very , very basic room and bathroom. Room and bed were not comfortable. Swimming pool not well maintained. Breakfast and dinner not OK !!! Hanging bridges are really nothing special ! The way to the lodge is more than 1 hour drive on very bad road !! The only positive thing was the sunset at the mirador.

Great time in the Spa, pools, canopy and all activities. The cabins are amazing unfortunately no ac so it is hard to manage. Food also is not the best, too many people in April and they mix the turist that come for the day with the ones that stayed over night for lunch so if you are hungry go early.

If you are looking for a genuine experience, this is your place. We stayed for five nights during the course of our honeymoon. We love outdoor activities and the simplistic lifestyles, this place is like summer camp for adults and families. Breakfast each day was the highlighted meal, the juice is so fresh and the coffee is amazing. Lunch and...

I have been to Buena Vista many times in the past with groups for full day of activities and it's always been great. This was my first time staying in one of their accommodations. We had a lovely cabin overlooking the lake. Thought it would be difficult with no a/c or TV but we loved our two night stay. Two...

Overall: Excellent hotel. Food however (dinerbuffet) is poor and not tasty. Better choose a la carte meal. Rooms are okay. But after replacing a fluorescent lamp there was glass all over the place. They didn't clean it by themsleves, we had to ask for it. Lot's of activities. Driving from Panam hwy is 45 minutes, a real Costarica road. Heavy storms...

This is our second time staying here. This trip we stayed for three nights. Can't beat the value. A bit of a drive, but not bad once you get used to it. Food is fine. Sunset bar is really a treat... Rooms are clean...We enjoy walking the on-site hanging bridges (a bit rustic but free)...

This was by far one of the most amazing places I have ever been! I was traveling with 3 other ladies and shared a lake view cabin. There was plenty of room for all of us, and all the stuff we packed. We were able to enjoy a night hike with Ian, definitely ask for him by name, he was...

Our room had two full beds, adequate bathroom and a front porch with a bench. There was no TV, hair dryer, air but had a fan. So it was a bit spartan, but that was the charm. We were with a travel group and the company chose this lodge so we would not have to take a bus for our...

It is a long, long way to get here; however, once you arrive you can enjoy horseback riding, zip-lining, thermal baths and mud, and plenty of areas to hike on suspension bridges to see monkeys and birds, or spend time watching a sunset. The winds really blow from late afternoon through the evening, but the cabins are comfortable, large and...
