This establishment is a brief walk to the beach and about a 15-18min walk to downtown. I booked a room here for the weekend for my anniversary with my girlfriend. We enjoyed our stay here. The streets do get dark at night, and they do provide flashlights which is great! Their breakfast was decent too, with a range of fruit,...

Beautiful hotel in peaceful surroundings with helpful staff. We liked the hotel as well so we had to take an overnight more. Located close to the beautiful beach with lovely walks. But within walking distance to the town center, shops and restaurants. Neat and clean rooms, ours with sea views from the terrace. Super breakfast with everything, fresh fruit, yoghurt,...

I stayed in one of the smaller rooms at the Colonial Terrace. They have many different rooms to choose from. The location is a short walk to all the shops and 5 minutes to the beach. I had a view of the ocean and could hear the waves from my room. The staff were excellent - my son decided to...

Although the location and the grounds are lovely, our suite was very dated and oddly laid out. The bathroom fixtures and counters were uncomfortably low -- we had to stoop to see in the mirror. Everything felt old and tired.

Reading the reviews for this b&b I feel that somehow We stayed at a completely different place. We read the description for the place while enroute and booked a room for one night . All sounded great ; however, our room , 24R , Courtyard Queen , was so disappointing. In brief it was very "tight", furniture was old and...

Absolutely lovey. Although the rooms are quite basic and do need a facelift we could not have been more comfortable. The surroundings are perfect, the gardens are lovely with their terraces and BBQ area. You get a warm welcome here and it's a five minute walk to the beach. A fire crackling away in the lounge areas, very comfy and...

Hidden gem of a B&B, steps away from a beautiful dog friendly beach, and most of all--friendly and very helpful staff. If you just want to spend a day or two totally relaxing on a beach, this is your place. There's lots of cute dogs that play on the beach also. They are mostly just passing by with their owners.

We loved our stay at the Colonial Terrace Inn. The grounds are beautiful. Just a very short walk to the beach. A healthy 15 minute walk to town where there is an abundance of delightful shops and dining. The rooms are well appointed. Very clean and cozy. Great bed and bedding. Most helpful staff at all levels. We will definitely...

We have stayed here numerous times, so much so that we consider it our "home" when we're in Carmel. We try to come at least once a year, and each time we are greeted as if we're family. The staff is so kind and accommodating, the rooms are immaculate and the beach is literally steps away. The (complimentary) breakfast in...
