The Adobe Inn was a wonderful find! The room we had was not cookie cutter hotel - it was well appointed, with a fireplace and a terrace. The location was great - walkable to the Mission and shops . Carmel is one of the best towns to visit along your California journey.
Great location, generally satisfactory. A cautionary note, however. The place is animal friendly, and I was awakened at 3:30 this morning by a barking dog in the next room. He relented after 15-20 minutes, and after some delay I was able to get back to sleep.
