The place was really quiet with a great view of the valley. The hosts were very welcoming and we loved the waffle bar for breakfast. Great place for a relaxing weekend with an easy access to the village.

Were looking for a good home base for 4 days in the Monerey - Carmel area. Had never been to the Carmel Valley, and found it a wonderful, quiet contrast to both Carmel and Monterey. We enjoyed the short walk to the Village (restaurants, wine tasting, grocery), which became a habit every morning before the 8:00 continental breakfast at the...

We stayed here instead of Carmel where the parking is almost non-existent anymore. This was a peaceful stop in a lovely setting surrounded by flowers. A friendly and comfortable breakfast area with lovely views. Nearby are lovely restaurants.

When we arrived in Carmel Valley for the start of the Gran Prix at Laguna Seca we were delighted to find the check-in at Country Gardens Bed and Breakfast was smooth & speedy. Luckily we were just in time for the afternoon wine (excellent) and cheese. We sat outside on the intimate patio, chatted with fellow guests and enjoyed watching...

We were at the Holman Ranch for a wedding, and there was a minimum at the Carmel Valley Ranch for a holiday weekend. Last second we booked Country Garden Inns, and it was perfect. First off, we had only spent time in Carmel by the Sea and Monterey, so Carmel Valley was a welcome surprise. The property we stayed in...

This guest’s comments are inspiring for our hard working, dedicated staff. It is difficult to meet everyone’s expectations in today’s world of travel. Nestled in a pastoral setting, Carmel Valley proudly reflects a history and charm of “Early California” with offerings for those who have an appreciation for nature, outdoors, bountiful gardens and vineyards. Carmel Valley Village with many of...

My daughter and I stayed here in August as we were attending a wedding in the area. We had the king suite with fireplace and the room was very nice. It as light and airy and had fans for when it got stuffy. The bed was comfortable and the front room with the TV had a nice place to stretch...

My friends and I stayed at the Country Garden Inn this past weekend and I must say it is the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Do not stay at this hotel because not only is it run down and overpriced, but it has the worst customer service and is the least safe hotel I have ever stayed in....

It is upsetting and unfortunate to read such a review. We take all comments seriously. Carmel Valley is a popular wedding destination and on such a happy occasion a certain amount of reveling and imbibing is to be expected. Upon receiving a call from an inebriated guest stating that their room had been broken into, the night manager assured them...

We spent one lovely night at the Hidden Valley Inn during our 12 day trip to California. After a long and misty drive up from Big Sur, we found the sunshine, mountains and cozy room a welcome bright spot. The service and knowledge of staff for the area was helpful and friendly. The King Fireplace Suite was great space for...

We already visited Carmel-at-the-Sea before so now we wanted to spend our outside this place. We found this inn and we liked it. We had the room on the hill (noot in the valley) and it was spacious and we liked it. You have to go down the hill (2 minutes walk) to swin in the pool. The Belgoum waffles...

We spent two nights at The Hidden Valley Inn and found it an ideal spot for touring Carmel Valley, Carmel, and Big Sur. The room was reasonably priced, clean, and included a delightful breakfast in a bright dining room. The gardens and flowers were a treat in themselves. Welcoming and helpful staff added to the experience.
