Completely out of the way of the way in the jungle. Long way from the airport, Driver wanted to charge me $100 to get to the hotel. The hotel owner drove me to my yacht for live aboard the following day. Everything is somewhat primitive. The owner provided me with dinner because there was nothing open or nearby when I...

A lovely spacious garden bungalow in a quiet location with good cooking facilities. But bring your own tea and coffee. There's a supermarket nearby to buy any essentials including water as the tap water is not drinking water. Kayaks were available to rent at a charge but we didn't have time as we were only in Raiatea for one night....

We booked a car for our entire stay at Atiapiti as it is quite remote. We were only on the island for two days and wanted to explore. Car hire did not cost much more than a return airport transfer for two. It is easy to find. There are only a couple of roads in Raiatea. The accommodation is really...

Arsenne and Marie-Claude run a beautiful small hotel in the Opoa area. The hotel is a collection of individual bungalows - with most right on the beach, just a few steps to the Raiatea lagoon. The beach bungalows each have great views of Huahine, the Raiatea lagoon and reef, and a motu on the reef. Located on the windward side...

We stayed for 1 night after a sail trip -our pick up was on time, delightful drive (about 40'min from marina) Beautiful spot but very strong SE wind -perhaps check time of year forecasts and ElNino because such a shame we couldn't get to Motu off shore Despite this we had a great time, extremely good food, attentive friendly service...

From booking through the transfer to the stay everything worked great. Marie Claude is a very caring hostess. She was always with words and deeds. She gave us lots of tips for trips and also booked them for us. The amenitis left nothing to be desired. From the kitchen equipment to TV and Wifi, books and bicycles everything was available....

Spacious bungalow a few meters from the water, with a well-equipped kitchenette. Bathroom amenities are provided, as well as a mosquito net over the bed. The owner is very friendly and talkative. She was curious about us and we talked for a while. We were unlucky with the weather otherwise our stay would have been perfect. Apparently the snorkeling in...

Yes, the location is wonderful, a long sandy beach, the world heritage Marae nearby, the bungalow was cosily furnished and had a nice terrace. And the owner Marie-Claude was helpful. But - spider webs, dead insects on the bed covers, stains on the walls and on the light switches, hair in the shower tub - and you do not want...

If you want a change from an 'international' resort and do not care much about AC and the wireless speed in your room, this place is for you. Nicely located with most of the bungalows facing the lagoon (it is worth to wake up for the sunrises) with steps to the water. Every thing is clean and the food is...
