A very homey and relaxing place to stay. Hostess Eva and her husband run the inn to be warm and very professional. Fabulous breakfast was included and complimentary sherry by the fire. Interesting grounds and history behind the inn. Their very organized garden provides fruit and vegetables for interesting breakfast offerings. This is the best place to stay in the...

We were in town on business and booked here on a recommendation. The property is beautiful, snow covered and quiet. We were greeted by Eva who owns the property with her husband. He and the boys were at snowboarding competitions but we shared in their medal successes! Our room was welcoming, clean and had nice views. The main part of...

We found the Bidwell B&B to be very much up to our expectations. Large room with king bed (Robin's Roost), good bathroom with separate shower and big tub, excellent HDTV with built-in DVD player, terrific breakfast (gourmet quality), some decent choices for restaurants in Chester and Lake Almanor. Most special: the grounds around the Bidwell are charming with swings, nice...

My hubby and I spent two nights at the Bidwell House in Chester, and it was a wonderful stay! We stayed in Annie's room, which is a beautifully decorated, large, romantic room. There was lace netting over the bed to give it a four poster effect, and the bed was a super comfy King. The room is tastefully decorated with...

We stayed in Chester for convenient access to hiking trails leaving from Drakesbad to the Devil's Kitchen, Terminal Geyser, Boiling Springs Lake, Drake Lake, and more. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the rooms at Bidwell House as opposed to a chain motel. Our room was spacious, with a king-size bed, and plenty of room for luggage and hiking gear. I...

A really charming place to stay with a friendly atmosphere. Reception was efficient, and friendly. Parking was easy. Rooms were amply sized and comfortable. Amenities and facilities were good. Nice seating area in the quadrangle, with potential for an early evening drink. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a nice surprise and tasty. Would stay again, and recommended to you.

Located in the "Old Towne" Chester, The Bidwell House B&B Inn is the only three-diamond AAA rated Inn in the Chester/Lake Almanor basin. Fourteen distinctly different guest rooms, the swing on the porch, the unusual collection of antiques and attention to little details are all for the comfort of our guest. Chester/Lake Almanor basin and surrounding area spread across a natural wonderland created by millions of years of geologic forces, a crossroad where the granite of the Sierra Nevada meets the lava of the Cascades. Enjoy hours of pleasure on Lake Almanor with its 52 miles of shoreline, in Lassen Volcanic National Park which boasts the southernmost volcano in the Cascade range and in the 1.2 million acres that make up the Lassen National Forest and Caribou Wilderness area.
