Family campground and RV park. Camping & glamping. Located on Cache Creek, at the south end of Clear Lake. Rustic charm. Great fishing and bird watching! Boat launch for your motor boat, canoe or kayak. Swimming pool. Picnic grounds. Right across the creek from Anderson Marsh State Park. Sites for trailers, tents and RVs. We love vintage trailers! Our group had 4 adults, 4 young children and 1 cocker spaniel. We were able to rent 3 person canoe and 2 two person canoe for our group. Monette was able to get 2 adults and small kid into a 2 seater. We helped Chris bring the 3 canoes down and we're situated quite fast. He told us to take out time due to no other renters. Cache creek was ok but water level was low and it has hard to get out to the lake. We had good experiences with working with folks from Clear Lake Boat Rental and would recommend them.

This was my 4th trip to this little gem of a campground.
The creek side back-in sites are my favorite. But I’ve also been comfy in the pull through sites. (I drove a VW Eurovan camper.) most sites have decent shade.
Power and water have been reliable.
They even have a vintage trailer, some tulip tents, and a vintage mobile home you can also rent.
Three bathroom locations and one shower house. But the campground is small so that’s plenty.
The little store has a few essentials (like ice) and some fun camp stuff. Walmart and a hardware store are under 1/2 mile away.
The staff (especially Lisa) always have great ideas for day trips. And they’re super helpful. Today I saw them help a camper who couldn’t get their rear stabilizers retracted to go home. Staff has them retracted and on their way in just a few minutes.

The service from Lisa was AMAZING! Not only did she greet us with a great smile, she explained how to get to the open waters and what me might see on the way (Deer, turtles, lots of different birds, etc.) Although the lake was low and very green, it did not smell the time we went.

Lisa also took the time to give us some suggestions for restaurants, hiking, farms and wine tasting.

I would definitely recommend Clear Lake Campgrounds for your kayaking adventures!

This camping could have the "rustic charm" of its description here with a LOT of TLC! It's very dilapidated and shabby, with buildings in dire need of pressure washing and paint! Cobwebs cover the light fixtures in the bathrooms, spiders crawl around and the dish washing sinks outside were really dirty. The showers are unisex with no privacy at all. I guess it's great if you own a boat and fish but for us it felt too run down for the price.

We came here as a family for our first time and planned to spend 6 days camping. We first showed up to our “lakeside” campsite, which is not lakeside and smelled awful. You couldn’t access the lake from our campsite. Then we took a walk to the lake and were disgusted by the water and wouldn’t even allow our dog to go in. Then we drove to the dedicated swimming area and no one was in site, read the sign and they have blue-green algae which can cause serious issues for children and dogs. Needless to say we were disappointed as none of this was spoken about when making our reservation. The campsite was old and dirty, picnic table full of cob webs. We had brought our own portable toilet, but used the showers and they were okay but coin operated. We would never go back to this lake, super disappointing. And I’ve never heard of going camping at a lake you can’t swim in!!

We reserved canoes and kayaks for our group to paddle to Clear Lake.

Water level was low, so we weren't able to explore the marsh. The first leg of the trip was past lots of vacation homes on one side. After a while, we were in the state park and saw marsh on both sides, then reached the lake. We were pretty tired by the time we reached the lake.

Lots of marsh birds, some raccoons, some fish. Might be an even better trip when the water level is higher.

Campground staff were helpful and flexible when our group was slow to get moving in the morning. Thanks!

We arrived at cache creek campground totally by accident and just wanted to get on the lake and use our new inflatable kayak. Except we found out it could only take two of us. We were three! It was really nice of Lisa to help us get a rental even though they were officially closed :) she explained how to paddle and launched me on my solo kayak very carefully. I had a splendid time in the marsh and saw many beautiful birds. Later found out this is a bird sanctuary! Highly recommend this site and Shaw’s Shady Acres shop for a boat rental. 5 stars from me!

Lisa was so helpful and we had a wonderful time kayaking for around 3 hours out to Clear Lake along Cache Creek. We saw lots of wild life like Grebes and River Otters and lots of birds. So peaceful. I would certainly do more like 3 hours although I could have stayed all day.

This place is not clean and not worth the trip. Management do not respond to requests. They are charging cleaning fee even when cancellation is done. I would not stay or plan a stay here again. This is expensive on what is offered and does not provide enough services or clean areas

My wife and I tried Kayaking for the very first time! The staff was extremely helpful getting us what we need. One problem. After sitting on hard seats for almost 2 hours our lower backs were hurting.
