Recently stayed here with my wife and 1 year old. We had friends staying on the park too and were hoping for an enjoyable weekend break. Arrived - Caravan needed a clean, as per most of the reviews here the caravans are cleaned but not really left clean. Night 1 - We could not get the heating to work on... More

Visited with the family a few days ago for 3 nights in a gold+ caravan. We got a very warm welcome from the staff. We were given 84 Gainsborough Close. Upon entry the caravan oddly smelt of fish. It wasn't overly unpleasant and we got used to it but they tried to mask it with freshners which just made it... More

Good Points: reception staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much. Bad Points: the caravan was filthy. All the shelves and the TV were thick with dust, the kitchen sides were covered in crumbs and the bedding was badly stained. No food served in the day, you had to walk for 15 minutes to the sister site. Not... More

i started with a sun holiday, but upgraded to a silver plus with heating, i feel heating is essential in October and deffo worth upgrading for. The whole entertainments team were happy and always ready for chat, swimming pool was well attended by life guards at all times, the bar staff were run off their feet at some points but... More

We all were very excited to get away though I am not so good on motorways so I was very nervous. We arrived on site early knowing gold plus checking was at 2pm but took a chance at reception to see if I can get booked in but the blond lady said yes we were early and it's not ready... More

Had a great time at the holiday park. It was lovely. To be fair we couldn't have picked a better week hottest September week in many a year. The caravan was nice, clean and fairly standard I would guess. Only downfall to the caravan was crushed stone pathway to the caravan steps. The product was a recycled type 1 sort... More

Went here for a long weekend with grandchildren in a bronze plus caravan. The caravan we were allocated has definitely seen better days and was very dated with mouldy windows with a leaking pipe under the sink and the toilet seat falling off!! the caravan smelt of mould on arrival and we had to thoroughly clean the caravan on arrival... My second stay this year, again it was one of the cheapest options on a hoseason's search and i had enjoyed my previous visit. The park is out of the way and it is a six mile drive to Lidl or Aldi or to Clacton beach.Osyth beach is a five minute walk and it is possible to walk down the coast... More

I am really pleased to be writing this review. The park is amazing and not a long walk from Claiton pier. The staff are extremely friendly. And good for your money. Caravans are luscious and perfect. We just come back from taking my 14 month old for his first ever holiday and he loved it and so did we. We... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
St Osyth Beach Holiday park near Clacton-on-Sea is just that little bit different. The large indoor heated swimming pool comes complete with a flume and a shallow area for younger children but never seems to be overcrowded. The entertainment venue has a real family feel to it and you're never far away from the stage for the live shows which feature at weekends and during the peak season. ... more   less
