What a great place to visit! After exploring this historic gold mining town, we had a delicious lunch at the City Hotel before travelling to Sonora to see a theatrical production. Have been there twice and highly recommend eating there for lunch.

We checked in to a beautiful room. Alisha was very helpful and attentive. Please check this place out when visiting Columbia, CA. This place is like stepping back in time. It has been a great experience.

The City Hotel was built in the early 1870s. It went through a large fire in 1911 so some of the hotel dates to after that when the building was repaired. Our period furnishings reflect 1870-1879 decor.
