This remarkable waterfront Gilded Age hotel lives up to its stellar reputation as the crowning attraction of the Coronado area. A visual delight of creativity and craftsmanship is evident by a walk through the lobby and a visit to the Crown Room. The shops and amenities are fantastic as well. An absolute must for the San Diego area.

The Hotel Del Coronado is a gorgeous and historic hotel. But there is a 7 story dump of a motel next to it that they fraudulently call part of the Del called the Ocean Tower. Whatever you do...make sure they do not book you in here unless dirty rooms, dirty balconies, dirty elevators, views of a garbage building and THE...

Dear LAexecutive, Thank you for your stay with us at Hotel del Coronado and for your review. We're troubled to hear that you experienced uncharacteristic service and accommodations in the Ocean Tower, which was renovated earlier this year, and apologize for the unacceptable cleanliness issues you encountered. Did a girls weekend to Hotel Del and had a wonderful time. The resort while aged, has an old first class luxury feel. The service was good, not outstanding, but comfortable and the rooms while small were well appointed and we had a wonderful view even only being in the 'partial view' category. The beach is beautiful and the pool...

This is a beautiful hotel with many amenities for the entire family. The main attraction is the ease of access to the beach. However, the TV's in the rooms did not offer many channels. Also, the turndown service was subpar.

My husband grew up in Coronado. We have stayed at the Del numerous times. This July 4th we were extremely disappointed to find the new owners of the Del did not renew the musical contract of Ron's Garage Band which has played summers for about 20 years. The outdoor deck where they entertained is now lacking this fine amenity. Very...

Let me preface my review with this - we are a young couple who love luxury travel and we don't have kids. Maybe this resort is more geared for families and adventure, but I feel like this is the Disneyland of hotels in San Diego. Meaning it's overpriced, super crowded and average. I know this is a historical location, but...

My employer has an annual meeting wherein every employee of every office goes to a nice place to meet for a few days, work on team building exorcises and basically just bond with each other. Once again I cannot get enough. We hit the veranda at 2 and stayed til sunset. The drinks were amazing (a little pricey but you are paying for the ambiance) and the food was good as well (cheaper than the drinks). While we were there, we saw brides, sand castles, low flying planes, helicopters, weddings, sunsets, and sooooo many sights....

We didn't stay at this hotel but did walk thru. It was beautiful. We also visited the beach area that is behind the hotel and it was very nice and relaxing. Even a little kiddie area in the beach to swim. Worth a visit to see it all while visiting the area.

Excellent family experience on the beach. The beach s'mores experience and bike trip were a bonus.
