Booked this accommodation very last minute as just a room to spend our first night as we arrived around midnight. Due to our late arrival we did not see much of the surrounding areas nor did we have any contact with the the owners on sight, they notified us that the door was open and that the keys were inside,...

Iceland is expensive, but Guesthouse Gardur can compete international price / quality wise. The accommodation is cosy and comfortable. There is no reception, but there is a bell to ring and if necessary the manager will be there within 2 minutes. There is little light pollution near the Guesthouse. It is an excellent spot to view the polar light.(if active,...

I stayed just a morning here but I would definitely go back. The location is beautiful right next to the coast and is away from the city lights enough that you would have a great chance of seeing the northern lights. I rented the 4 bedroom apartment because that was the only thing still available for my date. The beds...

We arrived at the apartment early. When we rang the intercom, the host arrived to let us in within 30 seconds. Excellent wifi. Perfect location - 2 lighthouses a few minute drive away. Lots of local history and attractions to see. Lovely restaurant round the corner with view of the sea. Supermarkets nearby. Clean and spacious apartment. The apartment was...

A very good apartment and easy to find with google map. It has a kitchen to serve all our basic meals as my mother in law love to cook. The owner stayed nearby and tend to our needs whenere we gave him a ring. One setback was that some heaters were not working for some rooms which made the place...

Just next door to the magnificent Fludir hot baths, we spent a night in a small but cosy GH fully equipped w kitchen, bathroom, even geothermally heated floors. Not easy to find as it has no sign board but very well attended by people from bath reception.

We had the large 3 bedroom flat on the ground floor: even though furniture and equipment are a bit old dated, it is enough for a night stay if you arrive/depart using Keflavik airport. The guesthouse is 10' drive from the airport, close to the sea, with restaurant/supermarket in the village.

We found a little studio in this sweet town near the airport. Spotlessly clean, nice en suite bathroom, great little kitchenette. Beautifully located near the water and the lighthouse. The host was gracious and got us right in. Love it!! A nice landing spot after 8 days in Iceland.

A short drive from the Keflavik airport and close to the Blue lagoon. The apartment itself was quaint and charming and was next to a horse farm. We could wake up and see the horses next to our window. The apartment was spacious and cosy and had everything we needed for a good night's rest.

The cottage itself was one of the nicest places that we stayed while in Iceland and at the best cost. Well equipped kitchen, seating area outside and horses grazing outside...what more could you ask for!

“If the apartments are going to be shared by other guests, I can envision it being a bit noisy. I would recommend the apartments on the upper floor of each guesthouse if it can accommodate your party.”
