The minute you walk in the door, you feel the vibrancy of the hotel. From the decor, to the service, to the location, you could not ask for a finer hotel in all of LA. Its great for business as well as for families. The nightly jazz can't be beat. We loved the location, the neighborhood restaurants, the movie theater...

This hotel is magical, especially at Christmas, and the staff is attentive and caring. It is close to fine restaurants, convenient markets and a movie theatre and playhouse. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Whenever I'm in the L.A. area, I get my hair cut at the Devachan salon and eat at Native Foods vegan restaurant next door, so the Culver Hotel's location was perfect for me, as it's right across Culver Boulevard, which has a crosswalk. The Culver Hotel is also across the street from Trader Joe's, and next to the Arclight cinema,...

The Hotel is in the shape of a "Flatiron", same as that famous Flatiron Building in New York. Thanks for the in-depth review, really appreciate the feedback. The 7 series you stayed in is the most popular room with our regulars, not big in size, but big in character. We look forward to your return trip. Seth Horowitz GM

My husband and I travelled from Mackay Australia to LA for a fleeting visit before embarking on a cruise. I had checked various hotels but decided on the Culver Hotel because it sounded unique and definetly not the usual busy hotel. What a fantastic choice it has turned out to be. It is a grand hotel with an historic past...

Went to the Culver hotel bar and had an amazing experience. Sat at the bar and had amazing conversation with the bartender. Very friendly staff. Really amazing lobby. Property amazingly decorated with period decor and cinematic decor. old movies projected at one of the walls. Previous owners Charlie Chaplin, John Wayne. Amazing.

Love the fact you discovered us. When Harry Culver opened the hotel in 1924 he was determined to bring the fledgling movie industry to Culver City, and he did. All the great MGM movies of the 20's and 30's were made just down the road and the movie stars all stayed in The Culver Hotel. Looking forward to seeing you...

Came to see the property and was welcomed by the staff to visit the public spaces. Rich cinematic history: owned by John Wayne, Clark Gable stayed there (my Dad's favorite movie stars) and all the 124 "little people" of The Wizard of Oz resided there during filming. Will return for their afternoon tea. Welcoming, gracious staff. Recognized as 'one of...

Room was great and unique. Bathroom had an old claw foot tub, which may showers a little messy (the spray went everywhere), rooms was a good size. My room faced the road and it was loud - I could tell when traffic picked up in the morning, as it woke me up. The aircon is not central as well and...

Thank you for your comments. The large tubs in a couple of our rooms need extra shower curtains, and we can do that. 2/3 of our building does not face the street. Sorry about the noise. We do have double-pained glass.... The A/C has since been serviced and should not be a disturbance. Our valet parking in the middle of...

We booked the hotel's grand lobby for a retirement party for our revered teacher colleague. Two private event managers helped plan the menu and logistics. Originally, we figured there would be around 25 people but the party grew to over 40. Throughout the ordeal we had only positive, helpful solutions to our questions. With the increased number attending, it was necessary...

First visit-valet parking only (and the most disorganized I have ever experienced). We weren't allowed in this hotel (famous for where the munchkins of The Wizard of Oz stayed and raised hell during filming), because of a wedding. We have become a very popular destination for weddings and events. Sorry this meant closing off the Grand Lobby for the ceremony, but our service on the Patio should be better. I am confident that your return visit will amaze you. Our nightly jazz bands and the whole atmosphere at our Historic Hotel is memorable. See you soon. Seth Horowitz...

The lobby lounge/restaurant is beautiful and quaint. This boutique hotel also has historical significance. The food does not disappoint and the bartenders know how to make good drinks.
