We where on a trip with my family and it was part of the plan to spend a few days in LA. It was difficult to find a hotel with a good location, even harder to find one at a good price, luck brought us to Cypress Marriott, where Sam (big shoutout to him, we appreciate all the help and tips that he brought us) recieved us at 2-3 AM by Wednesday-Thursday and gave us a room. Room was very complete and for a very reasonable price, envoirement was perfect, the lobby was equipped with all the stuff we needed, plus the Starbucks just offered things to eat, even past the breakfast period.

We admittedly got off to a bumpy start at this Courtyard. The property was under construction for the entirety of our stay, so noise was an issue the first couple nights/mornings. There were also several pricing discrepancies at the bar/restaurant, and after two days I was ready to leave and find a new place to stay. However, after reporting all of our concerns to the front desk, Jaymee managed to get her boss Italia on the phone (on her day off), and together they arranged to get us into a new room on the top floor where the construction noise wasn't as loud. Jaymee was super empathetic to our situation, and went out of her way to communicate everything to Italia (who also went the extra mile by buying us a bottle of wine and comping us the first night). A big thanks and thumbs-up to both of them!
While the front desk service here was excellent, I'm still deducting one star because of a trend I'm seeing with many Marriott properties in this price range -- and that's the absurd pricing at the bar/restaurant. $44.64 for TWO glasses of inexpensive wine at a Courtyard Marriott in Cypress is simply ridiculous; especially when a glass of better wine at the DTLA Proper or New York Edition is often the same or less. After a little digging, I learned that each Courtyard is allowed to choose from three tiers of pricing set by the food/bev service company, and that many are opting for the top tier thinking they'll make more money. But I think the opposite is going to be true. We didn't drink anymore at this location because we could go to an actual bar and drink the same glass for 1/3 of the cost. We were told on more than one occasion that the best way to address this is to mention it in reviews, so let me be clear to whoever chose the top tier of pricing at this location...
If your hotel lobby/bar is not an upscale venue where people come to JUST DRINK, then you should not be pricing things as if it is. $22 for a shallow pour out of a bottle I can buy for $10 in a grocery store is the definition of greed.

We stayed for a very quick overnight. I'm loyal to Marriott and this Courtyard doesn't disappoint. I asked for a quiet location as my son is auditioning for colleges and was accommodated nicely. The only thing I don't get is the bistro not opening at 7am which is way too late for most of us. Open times seem to range from 6am-7am throughout the brand. By 6:30am I had already gone through the 3 cups of coffee in the room and was ready for more. The coffee need is real. Suggestions: I'm zero waste and my goal is to spread awareness for hotels to make small changes. Here is my ZW feedback. I was thankful the cafe attendant had no problem refilling my water bottles, but all Marriott's moving forward should consider refillable water bottle stations in their lobby for their guests. The bistro did have recyclable to go boxes for my sandwich, but I was told after the fact that they put plastic utensils and napkins in the box for me. Hint, sandwiches tend to not need utensils, and in the zero waste era, it's always best practice to ask prior to giving out utensils. I actually travel with my own utensils and cloth napkins.

The front desk staff (one per shift) are friendly, polite, helpful. Guests are advised: no housekeeping, but ask if you need something. Noticed food on the floor on checking in. Room was fine. Water turned off 12pm-4pm on day 3 albeit with notice the day before. Exercise room was open; somewhat damp wipes, no disinfectant. Night #3, and a new neighbor decided to smoke. Called the front desk. Turned on the fan.
It's hard to rate this experience as we are coming out of a pandemic, no doubt the operating budget for the hotel is hurting, and the hotel was upfront about some of the limitations. When the water was off, the front desk staff were quick to offer me at no charge a bottle of water and a soft drink i was going to buy from their stock.
In normal times I am sure this hotel was a 4, but as their business model apparently relies now on low staff headcount, closure of any staffed amenities, and a high volume of youth as guests, some of whom have not stayed in a hotel before, the quality of the experience is not what I would expect of a Courtyard Marriott.
The room would be a 4, but not bunked next to Joe Camel.

We booked 2 rooms, one king and one double. When we arrived a staff member informed us they had given away our double room. And she could give us a kig with a regular couch. Later The manager Informed us we booked 2 kings. I double checked our reservation, and that was notcorrect. She then falsely stated she could transfer us to a comparable hotel that she also manages. When we arrived the hotel smelled badly of must and marijuana... the floors are absolutely filthy as if they have never been cleaned. The tile is in poor shape large missing chunks. and no where near the original locations comfort level. I would equate the transfer she gave us as going from a 4 star to a 2 star.She comped one night for each room. I looked up the cost of the hotel she transferred us to. With the one room comp we still overpaid for what the rate was at the new compared to the original area. She also informed us that members get preferences as a justification for getting rid of our original room. Un professional, as its friday night we were left with no other choices. The manager then had the audacity to thank the member of our party who's room they did not mess up for being nice ... when she didnt talk to the manager at all. Because she did not have an issue ,again unprofessional and passive aggressive.

Love the room and the location. There are many restaurants nearby that I can just walk to instead of driving there. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. It is also very quiet. The only thing that I can think of is that I wish they upgrade their internet tv to include HBO Go and Amazon Prime Video. Some Marriots hotels that I had stayed in the past included those in their TV. The parking is also free which is good. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

Recently, I had to alter my travel plans to visit this part of greater Los Angeles and ended up cancelling my reservation at this place. The hotel managers went beyond their normal guidelines and helped me with this cancellation. I truly appreciate their customer service. Being in the same profession of customer care, I understand and value their actions a lot. This talks volumes about the culture in which they operate. Thank you. My three-night stay at the Courtyard By Marriott Cypress Anaheim/Orange County had its ups and downs. The restaurant staff and reception were remarkably friendly and attentive, contributing positively to my experience. However, the housekeeping service left much to be desired. Despite addressing the issue with the reception, which noted my concern, the situation didn't improve the next day. Throughout my stay, the bed went unarranged and the vacuum cleaner seemed to have been overlooked entirely. While the towels were changed regularly, the lack of proper housekeeping negatively impacted my overall comfort at the hotel.

I'm a frequent visitor here. The recent renovations are great, but across the board, the staff is awesome! Jessica, in particular, managing the bistro area in the evenings is super as a person and a representative of Marriott. The entire bistro staff is attentive and Caitlin at the front desk is tremendous. Francia is EVERYWHERE and I thoroughly enjoy my "home away from home" because of them.

Yes, I'm currently there. There have been no inconveniences of any kind. The staff has been awesome and construction workers have been knocking stuff out quickly. They've been apologizing for being in the way, which they weren't and I have heard nothing from in my room.
I don't know for certain, but I would guess that is telling you the price range for breakfast in the hotel. They don't have a free breakfast, but you can purchase a room+breakfast package.
There are more places to choose from in the Cypress area.
