The staff is nice, breakfast was great, hotel clean and fresh. It’s super convenient to UC Davis and downtown. The only problem, and it’s a big deal if you’re not a heavy sleeper, the train is super loud early morning and late at night.

Professional, knowledgeable staff, great renovation of rooms, spacious & clean! On campus huge plus! Close to everything Davis. Loved our comfortable stay. TVs awesome easy connection to kids Nintendo switch!
Convenient location...BUT public areas are filthy. Breakfast room, elevators, etc.Staff smiles but is unwelcoming.MUST ask for a room away from side of the hotel that faces the train line. It's like My Cousin Vinny.
"avoid rooms facing the tracks"
"Request a room on the back side of the hotel, away from the highway and train tracks"
"Top floor at back of hotel"
"All rooms are pretty much the same"
"Bring ear plugs, train seems to run through the room several times a night - but that would apply to all downtown hotels."
