From the moment we arrived, it was pure bliss. We arrived on a Friday afternoon so were surprised to have the pools to ourselves- which was lovely. The water temps are just right and oh so good. We followed the advice of others and packed supplies to be able to eat in, which was a really nice option to have. The oven and micro and fridge all worked well. We stayed two nights and did venture out for lunch the second day, but mostly we just relaxed in the healing waters. We also booked 90 minute massages with Blair- who was exceptionally good. We felt completely safe on the property and the room was spacious and beds were comfy. Loved that there are only 11 rooms here and no children allowed- made for a very restful weekend. Definitely will be coming back!

This little gem in the desert was such a pleasant surprise! The managers are so attentive and friendly. The place is very well kept and quiet. Every room has a little kitchen! The kitchens could be better stocked, but I’m confident if you just ask the managers, they will get you anything you need. Will definitely return.

Fanciest? No. But I enjoyed my time, the waters are perfect, the sauna works great and the rooms have everything you need. There is a soda onsite as well. Owners are friendly. I used the spa but the staff was brought in by the program I was using, not sure how the staff is but it’s a nice area.

We have stayed at this resort for many years but this was the first time since covid and the new owners. We were pleased that the resort has been well maintained and that standards remain high. We have always felt that it is the best resort/spa in DHS. The three pools are certainly the best. The improvements have been structural such as re-lining the main pool. The rooms are pretty much the same with the exception of new temperpedic beds. The new owners were friendly and very attentive to our needs. Very clean. They do not have all the amenities of a four star resort, however, the pools can’t be beat and they have everything that we need. A hidden gem.

Run down facility, dirty, poorly managed. Avoid staying here. Formerly this was a sweet haven from the world, a place to rejuvenate, soak, relax. Lack of maintenance and even everyday cleanup has turned this place into a dump. Management is completely indifferent.

Dear Guest. Our hotel is a lovable place and we are very proud of that. We are planning major renovations, but still keeping our hotel clean and inviting until then. We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this was not met in your interaction with our business.” Once again, thank you for staying with us and we hope you will have a better stay on your next trip. This was an actual nightmare of an experience and I was certainly fooled by all the positive reviews, I strongly recommend that you do not come to this retreat. I stayed for only 12 hours and then packed my bags and left. Firstly, it's located in a terrible neighborhood in Desert Hot Springs where I heard a homeless person screaming outside of the motel all night long and I was unable to sleep at all. Secondly, they only have tap water here which anyone in the health realm knows is completely toxic. Jan brings in the spa lady on the first night of orientation to try and push you to book every spa option possible, it was easy to see they just wanted to get you to spend more and more money. When I declined wanting to get colonics in the morning after I hadn't slept at all, Jan came to my door and yelled at me saying "are you really THAT broke that you can't afford colonics?." I have never been more horrified in my life and was beyond uncomfortable. And no, I am not broke, I am a healthcare worker who came to this retreat to unwind from a very stressful year. I was so upset that I left crying and Jan refused to refund me, stealing more than $2,000 from me. How dare you Jan ever treat another human being the way you treated me, your heart is so ugly. I would never tell any of my friends or family to come here. I strongly recommend Deer Lake Lodge just north of Houston TX, they have every amenity you could want plus the most loving staff I have ever met. Please trust me when I say stay far away from Jan and this retreat!!

Dear Guest ! Thank you for your comments about your experience in our Hotel and Spa. We apologize , that you had an unpleasant experience during your visit , with retreat that was hold in out hotel , but we are hoping, that you understand that our staff, work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience. We are small boutique hotel that is located in actually better area of Desert Hot Springs. Also I will have to disagree with you about our waters. We proud to have Mineral Healing water that comes direct from well . I strongly believe that this review is more emotional than appropriate. Please if you have any issues with your retreat lead , contact them directly. Thank You GENERAL MANAGER

We have been coming for years, and the last three owners have neglected the hotel. Very dated, somewhat unclean, pools need daily cleaning. On the plus side its quiet, easy to drive too. The whole hotel needs a top to bottom cleaning and new windows. Staff is indifferent, but courteous. Will seek out better kept up properties.

The Mineral Water Springs pools at the Lido are the finest in the Coachella Valley (in my opinion). Recently, (before the Lido closed temporarily due to the pandemic,) I was able to enjoy a week of soaking and swimming in their pools. This was sheer joy!! The Lido has an ambiance of serenity and tranquility which furthers the possibilities for rejuvenation and A Blissful experience. The grounds were just beginning a Spring bloom, with the blooming Ocotillo and succulent gardens attracting many hummingbirds. There is a Roadrunner named "Rhody" who regularly frequents the grounds and will let guests feed him. The location is quiet and peaceful with mountain views and swaying palm trees. The staff were cordial, helpful and accommodating without being Intrusive. The kitchenette made it possible to prepare my own healthy food without having to leave for dining. The Lido was recently purchased by new owners. The new owner made improvements yet managed to honor the traditions and spirit of the Lido and its' loyal customers many of whom have been coming regularly for several decades. The new owners are to be commended for a job well done!! I've been a frequent guest at the Lido for the past six years and hopefully for many years to come.

Thanksgiving here again. Love the big room and full kitchen. The place has changed hands since our last stay. The rooms are clean, but maid service needs to be requested. The owners do accommodate any requests, tho. Still a tranquil setting, and love soaking in the tubs. Age is showing in the rooms and the new owners will have their hands full updating.
