LOVED this Kitchy little place on I-5. Our caboose was super comfy, clean, and spacious. The pool was nice, hot tub even better. Views of Castle Crags are amazing. Town of Dunsmuir is cute and quaint. Nice alternative to the chains stops along 5. Cant wait to go back!!

This is a cute little RV park with lots of trees, I think its prettier than many RV parks I've seen. We came in last minute without reservations. We were going to go to the state campground, but wanted an electrical hook up. They were out of spots with hook ups, but the staff exceeded our expectations and worked really...

We're fortunate to have Debbie and Clyde as our camp hosts. Glad you had a good time and we welcome you back.

You get to sleep in a caboose. What a great way to let your mine travel back in time to yesteryear. The inside of the car was very clean, looked great and the bed outstanding. The outside of the car needed a little work ( the handles going up the stars were lose, and it needed an outside paint job).

Thanks for your thoughtful review. The caboose you stayed in is on schedule for painting. We've painted 5 this year and 5 the year before. We can only paint in the spring or early fall when the weather is cool and the occupancy allows. Our Facebook page shows the caboose painting projects. Next year your caboose will be decked out...

We stayed in a cabin, but next time I want to stay in a caboose :) Cabin was rustic, but clean. Nice that it had 2 bedrooms. Very family-friendly! Also look forward to having dinner in the dining car next time.

Please do come back and stay in a caboose and have dinner. The dinner house and lounge is full of railroad memorabilia. Thank you for your review.

Sparkling clean, fun and fabulous ambiance. We took our 2 grandsons, aged 10 and 11 to spend the night in a caboose. They (and we) loved it. We stayed in Caboose Number One which has a climb up Cupola. They were totally entertained inside the caboose, as well as outside, where we took a little hike around the local pond...

We did a family reunion at the Railroad Park. Some family stayed in the campground and some in cabooses. I stayed in a caboose, #22. It was very roomy for my family of four. We had the chance to look at three other cabooses and they were very nice as well. The AC unit kept the caboose nice and cool...

We stayed at the campground. Had a perfect time. The new Campground Hosts; Clyde and Debbie were so nice and friendly. The campground was very well kept. I especially liked the restrooms near the office. They were spotless and Clyde cleaned them 2 or 3 times per day. We got to meet the owner of the resort and campground and...

This is an interesting concept to stay in refurbished Cabooses. Unfortunately, we didn't. You must make your reservations way ahead of time to get one. They put us up in a cabin which was very average. Had a stove, fridge, microwave, sink, but not one single pot or pan with which to cook anything. Better planning on our part would...

Very thoughtful review, thanks. I know what you mean about the wine list. Sad to say we have carried some of the very wines you suggested and they just sat there and didn't sell. We should have a few bottles on hand for customers such as yourself. Next time I do hope you get to stay in a caboose. The...

Well first off, I understand rustic and I am fine with it; but me and the wife are not fine with dirty. We checked in for a 3 night stay in one of the cabins. Upon sitting on the couch I realized I was sitting in a bunch of long hair and dirt. I flipped the cushions and found even...

We stayed there in February of 2015. The concept is great. It was fun sleeping in a caboose. The location was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. It was fun. The problem was housekeeping. Our comforter had a highly visible stain which looked like ink. One pillow had a blood stain, visible through a thin pillowcase. A chair in the room...

Thanks for your review. The housekeeping problem you experienced has been resolved....staff change was necessary. It's unfortunate that one person's inattention to their job (and not caught by us) dampened your evening. Sorry for that. The caboose you stayed in was an adults only / no pets/no children accommodation. We have family and pet friendly rooms available.
