Booked room through Hilton Honors via phone with HH rep who answered all questions. Upon arrival, accessibility room did not have roll in shower as requested due to renovations. Hotel management apologized and attempted to make the stay workable. Housekeeping staff and supervisor were especially helpful and accommodating to our requests for additional items for the room!
On day 3, the only working elevator broke down and management had no choice but to find us another hotel. They quickly coordinated with a nearby hotel and helped with our luggage down the stairs to our vehicle.
We would stay here again when they complete all of their renovations but not until then. Again, the staff made the best of a bad situation that was not their fault.

We stayed here for two nights at check-in no welcome as a diamond member. They changed the room. I chose on the app to another room, not such a good location right over the door no upgrade, even though there was plenty of empty rooms. The room itself was fine clean we went down to the bar restaurant in the evening food was terrible hardly any choice like six things on the menu we went down the next morning for breakfast. They had some scrambled eggs one look like they’ve been there for a week only decaf coffee just Ali anything there was enough food there for about six people, definitely not worth the $20 not be going back

I always book online to be able to compare many options, also to see the amenities, and I specifically chose this location/hotel chain hotel based on the breakfast description regardless of the $20pp fee. During check in, nothing was mentioned regarding the pausing of breakfast, they just said where the breakfast area was located and times it’d be available. Elevator has a sign which then said full breakfast would be back the day after our stay. The next morning we go down the dining area and that’s when we realized all they had offer was cold milk and tiny cereal packages.

Since I’m in the airline/travel industry, whether I travel for work or pleasure, I tend to stay loyal to a few hoteliers based on many factors and no breakfast/crappy breakfast is a nonnegotiable. We don’t like to leave for breakfast and would rather eat at the hotel and then get ready to leave for the day.

Booking through a very reputable 3rd party source, who I’m sure brings a lot of business party source shouldn’t matter as the information about the hotel should be up to date and transparent. Also I never got my 3 days credit to my Hilton when booking online and comparing my many options and c Honors account! IAW off now, I think I may stick with Marrott instead.

Please beware and to call your hotel to find if they’re even offering it and if they honor your stays.

Great hotel and rooms for last night in USA before returning home. Massive comfy beds, coffee machines, soundproofed. The bed size was perfect - we are 2 taller people (and a little heavier after a week of eating pancake breakfasts lol) . Enough space to both spread out and get some much need rest after our California trip. Plenty of space in the room to open up suitcases. Coffee machine in room was great for the morning. There was a fridge in the room too so we popped a few bottles of beer in there for the evening. Huge TV - always welcome! We were too tired to eat in the restaurant on site so order a Papa John's pizza - plenty of surface space to place the box and eat comfortably. We were able to leave our bags at reception, after checking out, while we went out to eat, as we had a later flight home. Have stayed in Double Tree hotels in London, they do not disappoint
Highly recommended.

This is your typical DoubleTree hotel. It has that classic American hotel decor. We found the room to be spacious and comfortable. The bed and linens were nice and the shower worked well. All amenities you expect are included in the room. Being close to LAX, sound insulation is important and I found this to be really good on our room. Thick glass windows and a heavy door with seals around it meant you could barely hear the noise from aircraft.
the pool is heated and the hot tub was hot and so relaxing, although quite often we went to use it and there were people partying, smoking and smoking weed in it.

Complimentary breakfast was good quality and plenty of range.

Parking prices are steep at $20USD a night

I would stay here again, its the kind of place where you know exactly what you will get and you will have a comfortable stay.

The staff was great. Very accommodating, and very helpful. Cheerful and very polite. My rating is for the room itself. I found the mold in the coffee machine. And the furniture was dusty. When you initially walk into the room, it has a sticker on it. The sticker claims to verify that the room has properly been cleaned in lieu of COVID procedures. But after having found dust and mold, I know this not to be true.

AS soon as I approach the building it looked filthy from the outside. Upon walking in I notice debris all over the double tree mat sign. There was no Dollys to help with luggage instead a blue trash can bin was offered. Elevators was not working so social distancing was hard to practice because no one wants to wait long for the elevator. Once entering my room it was good stuff all on my night stand my sheets had black stuff on the opposite side which wasn't noticed until the next day getting out of bed. No complimentary breakfast, no microwave in the room and overall I just would not stay here again. Also parking is $20 a night.

Part of the reason we decided to stay at the DoubleTree is because we enjoy the warm cookies that great is after a long day of travel. To our surprise, according to the front desk, this property does not provide cookies due to Covid. Not only was this not specified on there website BUT we arrived to a less than appealing room. Room 412 has dirty walls, spots on the floor, what looks like blood on the corner of the curtain, dirty remote control (paper wrapped stating they cleaned and sanitized it) and only one working elevator. If it wasn’t for us traveling so far and arriving at midnight, I would’ve checked out immediately.
In addition to the dirty room, we were charged a daily security deposit of $100 per night in addition to the daily rate because we didn’t prepay for the room. How ridiculous!!! We’ve stayed at many Hilton hotels and have never dealt with this before.

I booked two nights in advance at the Doubletree El Segundo (Jan 1-3). I called the hotel on the 1st of January to notify them I was flying in from Hawaii and would not actually get there until around 5-6am on the 2nd. I purposefully paid for the night before (Jan 1st) to ensure I could go straight from the airport to my room. The agent said ok that’s fine. I arrive at the hotel and Wendy states my pre-paid reservation has been cancelled. I explained to her I paid in advance & called the night prior to ensure there were no problems at check in. She proceeded to tell me “well I don’t see any notes on your account”. I showed her my phone call log where it was time stamped I called & advised her I did not appreciate her basically accusing me of lying. I was really disappointed, especially as a Hilton honors member. Wendy reinstated my original reservation and I finally got a room. A handicap accessible room with no tub and handicap accessible accessories I didn’t need. I returned back downstairs to ask for another room. I was told by Wendy there are no other rooms available. I asked for a manager and then miraculously there’s another room available with 2 full beds instead of 1 king. I told her that would be fine. I get to the room and the heater makes a loud rattling noise, the pillow case on one bed has yellow stains on it, the bathroom floor has mold in the left corner by the tub. At this point I’m exhausted & just want to rest, so I document the issues with the room. This hotel needs to be thoroughly cleaned, better maintenance and better customer service.

I was told before I checked in that the elevator was broken but that someone would assist me in getting my suitcase both up and down the stairs. Someone did help me get my 50-lb. suitcase up to the fourth floor (2nd and 3rd floors were closed due to renovations) but when i called the front desk the next morning to request assistance getting my luggage down, I was told no one was available. Huh? What kind of hotel of any size (this is not a small, boutique hotel, mind you) doesn't have a staff member on hand to assist with luggage when the elevators are broken?? I'm a 70-year-old woman. It's a miracle I was able to get my suitcase down 4 flights without falling and becoming injured. As it was, I pulled a muscle in my back and was exhausted before I even left for the airport. I complained to the front desk. INCREDIBLE that I was placed in that position. If you're considering booking a room at the Doubletree, be forewarned: customer service is nonexistent.

Good Afternoon, The hotel has complimentary transportation to and from the LAX Airport via the Lyft Rideshare service. On the arrivals (lower) level, please take the LAX-it (lime green signs) airport shuttle to the shared rides area.
