My wife and I have stayed at the Eagle House many times over the years. Built in the 1880's it has concert stage in the middle of the building. I've never seen a concert or play there but I guess they have them occasionally. The rooms are each different and nicely appointed. Great location right in Old Town. Even when...

This beautiful historic inn has had a major facelift All of the unique rooms have been updated with brand new beds (most comfortable ever!) new bedding, curtains, and may other modern touches. This is a great place for hosting events and weddings, private parties or a romantic getaway. Walking distance to downtown Eureka, Great views of the Bay, close to...

Booked our room on hotels.com and had confirmation. Arrived and was told we had no reservation. Chinese taker at the hotel was extremely rude and told us to call and cancel our reservation and find somewhere else to stay. Will never come back.

We certainly can't apologize enough for what this reviewer experienced after arriving to check-in at our inn. However (even though the staff member they refer to obviously should not have been so abrupt in their handling of the situation), this was the second time over a period of 4-5 days that a couple had arrived unexpectedly at our front desk...

What a fun place to stay. Each room is unique. This is not your typical motel room, it is much better. The decor is incredible. Make yourself comfortable, the front desk will close at night. Fine with us. They have a pub with restaurant downstairs. Not our typical eating place but we gave it a try and had a very...

This appreciative reviewer is absolutely right. We are a fun place to stay in so many different ways because the historic Eagle House is definitely not your "typical" anything---and proud of it! We also want to thank them for pointing out the specific things that we have to offer on-site, as well as what's close by for our guests to...

My husband and I stayed a year and a half ago and I have many times remembered and thought about our stay there. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!! You do have to have a love for the period of the hotel though. To some it would seem a bit run down and eccentric but we loved it. It's...

How very kind and thoughtful of this reviewer to share such lovely thoughts about their stay with us at the Eagle House here on Trip Advisor. And, it certainly makes us happy that (although we're not always the perfect place for everyone), our unique, historic surroundings do inspire longtime "love affairs" with so many of our loyal guests. Moving into...

If you love antiques this is the place for you. I love looking at Victorian mansions and if i have to spend a night or two in order to see the inside I was willing. I am not a lover of antiques so for me this was simply curiosity. It was dark and dreary and seemed just plain old and...

We must admit we're a bit confused by the "mixed messages" in what this reviewer had to say about us---especially since the headline of their review was so flattering, calling us "An Antique Lovers Dream." Their apparent pleasure and recommendation of our "mansion" (to other antique and Victorian lovers) continued in their opening remarks---but then suddenly shifted drastically to describing...

About 15 years ago I went up to Eureka twice a month on sales trips. During this time I stayed at the Eagle House many times. I still have fond memories of my nights at this Hotel. The rooms are a step back in history and very elegantly decorated. In the evening I would explore the Hotel and think about...

We really, truly appreciate whatever prompted this "better-late-than-never," former, regular business guest to share such supportive words about their previous stays with us at the Eagle House on Trip Advisor! In any case, now that they have "retired," we do hope they'll make it a point to return (in the not-too-distant-future) and once again spend a night or two in...

Stayed here on multiple occasions. Very unique and eccentric Victorian Inn. Try the Captain's Quarters or the Bay View Suite. NOT the premiere place to stay in Old Town, but PERFECT for the budget adventurer. Dive bar fan? Both Old Town late nite dives (The Shanty and S&D's) are literally within stumbling distance. (Be aware, on King Tides, the Eagle...

Thanks so much to our obviously loyal, on-going, "adventurous" guest (this supportive reviewer) who has described (in great detail) what to expect if you decide to stay with us at the Eagle House Victorian Inn. And, they do have some good suggestions for a pair of our most unique and popular rooms that as a "regular, returning guest" have become...

This hotel is very unique, it has some very interesting period pieces of furniture and art. The Irish pub located inside the hotel is great! We only had drinks there and no food. But be warned there is no air conditioning and no fans. We slept with the windows open (no screens) and was awakened by a fight on the...

Thanks so much to this equally "delightful" reviewer! We really appreciate all of the positive things said about their stay with us---and want to respond to some of the not-so-positive as well. As we have stated many times before, we do not have air conditioning---but we do have have available for all of our guests' rooms upon request. And, although...

We just drove up to the Eagle House in Eureka by chance. As the hotel looked charming from the outside, we asked whether any rooms were available. We got two spacious adjacent rooms just under the roof with a wonderful view and old victorian style furniture. We loved it! Pure 1888 in a special setting due to the outline of...

What an absolutely lovely review! We're always truly delighted when travelers unexpectedly "discover" us---and are so intrigued by our "outward" charm that they come in and decide to stay. Since we already had a number of previous, loyal guests from this reviewer's home city and country who have returned to stay with us many times, we were more than pleased...
