Mixed feelings…Pros-Good for kids,(when you see a basketball hoop in the swim pool,you know as an adult,you don’t want to be there.) Free breakfast,and a much bigger than usual variety (pancakes and waffles and cereal and hard boiled eggs). Loved the coffee machine in lobby. Cons -our room was never cleaned. I got a phone call around 5pm saying they “forgot”. Hot tub was down and the heat lamps not operating as well,thus eating outside chilly. Another downside is the rooms need updating,desperately. However, we actually felt safe from the walking dead that are all around Eureka. We stayed before at a nicer Carter house and did not feel as safe as the Best Western. I would say overall,if you have children,it’s a win-win but it wasn’t for us.

Fantastic hotel. Clean, comfortable, great bathroom, comfy bed and wonderful grounds. This is a gem! We are headed on a Hwy 101 road trip from Seattle to SanDiego. This was the first perfect stay since leaving Seattle. There are 2 pools so to speak. One is a huge hot tub that many children swam in. The pool area has comfortable lounges with electric fireplaces, fire pits and outdoor heaters. It looks like an outdoor living room. There is a complementary limo service that will take you to a variety of restaurants. A hot breakfast sandwich was served in the morning along with some pastries, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. To drink was bottled water, OJ, cranberry juice and coffee. There is a pool table located by the main pool. Honestly, this is a really great place to stay. Remember to tip the daily cleaners. When in Eureka stay at the Best Western Plus Humboldt Bay Inn. Friendly staff, beautiful site with a lush grotto. Free limo rides to local restaurants for dinner. We stayed a second night because we enjoyed the experience.

Friendly and welcoming staff. They were incredibly accommodating with last minute changes in having to add another room. The rooms were comfortable and it was a nice touch being able to make my first cup of coffee in the room. Breakfast was in a nice tropical setting and was very kid friendly. We will always stay at this inn when returning to Eureka.

I checked into my 1st floor room. Every thing was fine. Then I notice that I could every step the person above my room took. I had an early flight to return home so I was in bed around 10 pm. I could tell exactly were they where in the room by the sound above me. It sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling. I turned on the tv hoping it would distract from the walking. It did not. After an hour of trying to go to sleep, I went to the front desk and requested a 2nd floor. She accommodated my request. After the room change I was able to get some sleep.

The room was amazing and clean. They bed was so comfortable. The hot tub is huge more like a small pool to sit in and enjoy and relax. The staff is really nice. They have a limousine service that takes you for dinner and picks you up. Very very awesome place to stay. Plus, it’s downtown and you don’t realize it.

Pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, rooms are very nice and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The pool and hot tub area are also great. Good location. I would stay there again. Great Best Western Plus hotel. Best I have seen.

We had a really good time in the rain and snow in Eureka. The oasis hot tub was amazing! The pool was warm and partially covered. The kiddos spent quite a lot of time in the pool area. Everything was in great shape.

It has been more than a minute since i left a tip in a motel room for the housekeeper. But this stay was outstanding. It was only one night, the motel borders on hotel. The amenities are top notch, all staff encountered were exceptional. Warm, friendly, good looking, present and engaged. I was introduce to Oscar in the lobby, and we became fast friends. The pool areas and grounds were clean, well supplied, maintained. This will be are go to accommodations when in Eureka, I am already planning a return trip when the weather warms..

My room was fantastic. Nicely appointed. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was wonderful. I’ll stay here every time I’m in the area. I stay at Best Western hotels for all my travels. I try to always stay at a BW Plus anytime it’s possible. It pays to be a member. Discounts and upgrades make my stay that much more rewarding.
