The hotel is just down from the Victorian Inn where you actually go to check in and also to eat a very good breakfast. The suites have a small kitchen and were clean and comfortable. Yes the place has a motel feel but it was quiet and pleasant. We really enjoyed this little town and all the shops were right...

The Redwood Suites was the first stop on a 5 day motorcycle trip up the coast. The motel is part of The Victorian Inn. Redwood Suites is just off the main street of Ferndale, walking distance from The Victorian Inn, which is where you have to check in. The rooms are nice and clean. It has a roadside motel feel....

This is simply a motel. It is next to a busy road also, which is quite noisy. For the money, I would most likely try a B&B next time in Ferndale. The good part was the breakfast, which is included in the price and served at the Victorian Inn.

Be aware if you book this hotel their cancellation policy is extreme 7 days. So if you find out 24 hours that your plans have to change they still charge. Not very customer friendly. Sadly after calling and cancelling no one told me of the policy. When I saw the charge on my credit card and called to have it...

Room had a gas stove, but no gas going to it. Tried to have dinner. 8 people in restaurant, but was told they couldnt seat us for an hour because cook was backed up. We left. Went for breakfast, was told they open at 7. We arrived at 7:30 and was told the cook hadnt showed up yet. We left.

We stayed for 5 nights in room 4. The apartment was perfect as our base for travels North to Oregon on 101 and South to all Humbolt County has to offer. Truly is a spectacular area of Redwoods, wilds, beaches and farms. Our room was clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable dressed in quality bed linens. Large windows...

As others have noted, Ferndale (well, all of the Northern California coast) is a pricey area to visit but to us was worth it. The town itself, with it's well-preserved 1800s era storefronts and Victorian homes is like traveling back in a time machine, though not in a Hollywood backlot kind of way. You are 20 minutes from the North...

Very nice motel, well stocked kitchen, lots of room, comfortable bed and clean. Suites are simple but I feel you get a lot for the price. parking is great, can pull right up to your room, was always plenty of space. Right in town so everything is an easy walk.

Redwood Suites is a very beautiful hotel. Our suite was spacious and very comfortable. It was tastefully decorated and very quaint. There was a apartment sized kitchen with microwave, oven and refrigerator. I do think that the price was a bit high and it was ridiculous that you have to pay $25 extra per person per day. I probably won't...

Most of main street in Ferndale is on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is a step back in time in an area that you would not expect. It's just north of the Avenue of the Giants and on the way to Redwood National Park. The Victorian Inn is a classic old building with a wonderful restaurant. Again, far...
