Booked here because I could get free charge for my Tesla without driving up to Eureka. Staff was very friendly, the in-house restaurant is pretty good. If you have trouble with stairs that might be an issue, since all the rooms are up a flight of stairs, and there wasn't an elevator option as far as I know. (Hauling our suitcase up that was a bit of a pain.)

My family spent two nights at the Victorian Inn and our experience was mediocre. The rooms were large and spacious. The decor was as pictured however the exterior wasn’t lit up at night as in the website. Our granddaughter even asked if this was the same inn? It was supposed to be a B&B but breakfast was served in a take out box which included a croissant, an energy bar and a container of yogurt for both mornings. There was no assistance for our luggage up two long and steep flights of stairs to all the rooms upstairs. The TV was so small that it was no bigger than our computer monitor. The bath tub in one of our rooms did not drain properly!

Ferndale is a hidden gem of victorian beauty, and this hotel stands among its most striking buildings. The staff are super friendly, the food in the restaurant was good and the room was clean and comfortable. Walls are a bit thin, sound can travel, but that is to be expected in older buildings. It wasn't a problem for us. The interior of the entire hotel maintains the traditional wallpapers, carpeting etc but it doesn't feel or smell old, just beautiful and evocative of a different era. The hotel pipes music into the common areas and restaurant/bar, and the musical selections were expertly curated by someone who understood how to set the mood of the hotel in modern times. The hotel is rich with beautiful artwork, some modern and some old, and all of which compliment the overall mood here - authenticity with a gentle kiss of modernity. We loved our stay here, and would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers.

My husband and I stayed at the lovely Victorian Inn as part of a motorcycle ride down the coast from Washington. Our stay here was the highlight of our trip. The owners are so friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the time we left. The rooms and the entire place take you back in time. Everything is clean and beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the 2nd floor and looking at the historical pictures, and loved the music playing in the halls. Eating in the restaurant was a treat, with delicious food, generous portions, and great service. We wish we had stayed another night to explore more of the town as well.
