My family and I booked a two-night stay at White Chief Mountain Lodge a couple of weeks ago. We had read the reviews on TripAdvisor prior to our visit, and were expecting the worst. But we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely kind and helpful to us, the room was spacious for four people and the balcony pointed right...

We'd booked to stay here to visit Yosemite at the last minute so we didn't have a lot of choice and knew this wasn't going to be five star. However there are some basic things that you would expect to be in place. For example the room was not cleaned or visited by the housemaid during our stay. The shower...

Run as fast as you can, AWAY from here! The worst dump hole I have ever stayed in, even for the one night it was awful. Dead bugs smashed on the window, on the shower wall, and speak of the tiny climb in shower, the paint was all peeled off of it. No A/C, no fan, and when we asked...

A person once advised me - "If you don't set your expectations too high, you won't be disappointed ". Probably not a truer word spoken when staying at White Chief. Basic, clean enough that your not wearing HAZMAT gear, and expensive - oh and very close to Yosemite. It is what it is! You pay for being close to the...

It was clean the first day when we arrived and nothing the next, for the price you would think that the room would be serviced. Good thing we did not use the coffee pot. It was close to Yosemite, but we will not stay there again.

I brought visitors from Australia to White Chief Mountain Lodge recently and was very disappointed. I had called and was assured there were facilities to cook dinner as the restaurant was not opened and we did not want to drive to dinner after a day out at Yosemite. We booked a room with beds for three: queen and twin and...

Somewhat remote, and very dated, but it was clean. Great views from cabin. Brown bag breakfast (nice) provided. A little over priced, but it is a nice place if you love being surrounded by 300 ft trees. Could also use better locks on the doors.

Return to room day 1: nothing done: trash full; leftover coffee in pot; coffee pods not renewed. Notified office. Day 2: same as day 1 and bathroom towels still on floor. "Please Service" tag still hanging on door. Office clerk got towels, coffee refills, emptied trash. Left one loaded trash bag in room. Day 3: same ol', same ol'. Desk...

nice and very simple place, a little abandoned but great for young people (in the mind or soul :-) . it was challenging to find how to turn on the heating (use the thermometer next to the entrance door, the switch is on the bottom of the white box). room is clean, cozy because of the wooden ceiling and walls....

We stayed here for 4 nights in late May. The location is fantastic for the park, 4 miles from Mariposa Grove . We stayed in a simple cabin overlooking the forrest which was great. There is a deck with a couple of chairs which is a top place to sip a beer after a days hiking although a bit chilly...
