I had such a GREAT experience staying a couple nights at Larkspur Landing in Folsom. I got in at 10:30 a.m. which was well before check-in. They left me check in that early at no extra cost. Super friendly staff; a shout out to Alan, Natasha, and Dana for going the extra mile and helping me to print out a work project. You guys are the best. Room was perfect, bed comfortable, and loved having a full size fridge to put my groceries in. The area surrounding has restaurants in close proximity. Can't say enough great things about this hotel and the staff. Will stay here every time I come for work. Thank you.

My wife and I came up from the Bay Area for a couple of days to do 4 visits in the Sacramento/Folsom area. Seems like lots of our friends cashed out of Silicon Valley and moved to El Dorado County, so we come up here at least once or twice per year. Our two small dogs are getting older so we don't board them anymore, and we needed a pet-friendly hotel.
I think we found "the one"! Larkspur Landing Folsom is right by 50, we can have two dogs in the room, and our experience was that it was very clean and quiet. It's walking distance from a bunch of restaurants and a movie theatre, and the movie theatre parking lot is backed up against the freeway so it's a perfect place to walk the dogs. I even let them off leash with no worries (remember "old small dogs", I'm not recommending this!) They also give you a little to-go breakfast with bagels, hard eggs, yogurt, etc. That was nice and unexpected. Came in handy for us as we are early risers.
Theo helped us out and seemed to be there 24/7, but the whole staff was great. We decided to leave Folsom a day early and LL didn't even charge a penalty for leaving early.

This was my first time in a hotel during the pandemic. My husband's second. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and located very close to the bike/walking trail and the lake. We were very pleased.
I give it five stars not because it is a luxurious place to stay. It's definitely not fancy. But it was clean and the customer service was excellent. Although we spritzed the whole room, door handles, etc., we felt that the room was clean and we were relaxed even during the Covid challenges.
Dana and Ashley in particular made it quite clear to us that they were committed to our having a good visit. In fact, I wanted to switch from a studio to a small suite after seeing the room. Ashley was very patient and helpful. I had a small dispute over the bill and Dana was cheerful and also helpful. :))
The hotel was quite quiet, but not empty. I could imagine it bustling post-pandemic. We will definitely go back.

It’s a good choice if you want an affordable room with kitchen. The kitchen has a stove (no oven) microwave, full-size fridge/freezer, sink, dishwasher, and basic cookware/dishware/cutlery. There’s a single-serve coffee machine, but the coffee is TERRIBLE. (Kingdom Coffee Roasters is across the parking lot. Go there for coffee.) There’s are several dining/takeout places in the same center, plus a couple fast food places. Across Folsom Blvd is a walking/bike trail that will take you a long the lake. The bed and the pillows are not great. If you have your own good pillow you can bring, I suggest you do that.
The hotel is at the back of the parking lot with not much around it, so it’s very quiet. (I stayed during the pandemic, so it was VERY quiet. Also, no breakfast during the pandemic.) Some of the first floor hallways smelled like cigarettes, but I was on the 3rd floor, so it was fine where I was.
Personally, if I’m in the area again, I’ll probably forego the kitchen and stay some place a little nicer.
So again, bottom line: good budget choice for room with kitchen in Folsom. At the time I’m writing this, Residence Inn is about $50 per night more.

We stayed here for 10 days. Place is kind of dated but clean and comfortable. We had originally planned on staying for 8 weeks but due to my husbands job we had to leave early. Because of our length of stay we requested a room with a separate bedroom. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating and rearranged things to accommodate our needs.
Free breakfast was offered but we didn’t try it. Also coffee maker is a small one cup maker. We always travel with our own just in case.
You select the days and time you want housekeeping to come. The night before we checked checked out we canceled the 8 am cleaning. House keeping showed up at 8 am. She was very understanding about the mix up.
Dishwasher is extremely small and takes 140 minutes to wash and dry the dishes. I just ran it when we went to bed so the dishes would be clean in the morning.
Mexican take out within walking distance. Amazing food with extremely large portions.

Dawn, is the best!! She followed up on my many questions while I coordinated rooms for seven high school kids and two coaches. Not only did she provide great service but gave us a great rate on top of that. Our kids raised money and worked hard so I appreciate her making sure we had the best deal. I felt confident during the process and when we got the rooms they were clean, comfortable and quiet. I arrived to meet Dawn for the first time her smile and assurance made me feel like I was part of something special. Her assistant checked us in with a smile and light hearted humor as she recommended venues/restaurants and directions. The sleep was perfect as my bed was soft, pillows were perfect and space was abundant. I went for a walk to find all the outlet stores across the street, and many good restaurants. The difference was the staff, always cheerful, always made time to answer questions. Dawn leads by example, I can see and feel that she empowers her people to have confidence that taking care of the customer is the ultimate goal.

I didn’t realize the place was so pet friendly until we checked in so I was a little concerned. We are pet people and know all the bad stuff they do. Lol! This place was very clean and quiet. The front desk guy was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was Covid approved and packaged for pick up at the time you requested. Only negative to the visit was a queen size bed is just too small for us big people. Nice place. Totally recommend it.

I just want to say that whenever I travel I hope to find a Larkspur Landing Hotel to rent.
My husband I were delighted at the beautifully decorated and comfortable stay. Our room even had a full size refrigerator, stove and entire kitchenette which we were not expecting. The linens were just as nice as home and we both slept like babies.
Breakfast was better than most places . And all at a very reasonable price.
I would give a rating of 10 out of 10 ****** !!!

We made reservations directly with the hotel in order to ask for a quiet room not facing the main road & away from the elevators. Dana was very helpful & our request was granted. Everything was very clean, and the room was more like a mini studio apartment, as there was a small kitchen with a decent sized refrigerator. (What a treat!) We were also pleasantly surprised to be able to open the window & let in fresh cool air. The only minor flaw was that the pillows were so soft they went down to almost no support, but that was quickly remedied by helpful staff who brought us additional pillows. We would definitely stay again.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and kitchenette was well equipped. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to make sure their guests received good service. Shout out to Jen on the night shift…very nice and helpful! Variety of selections available for their Continental breakfast. Free use of their washing machines and dryers was appreciated! Thanks!

I am sorry, no we do not.
Yes we are 21.6 miles from Apple Hill and our hotel is Pet Friendly - our pet policy restricts all pets to the first floor with a $75 non refundable pet fee per stay.
Not sure about Apple hill, but they are absolutely the most pet friendly and people friendly hotel we've ever stayed at. We will definitely be back for our family vacation. And the rooms are pretty amazing with very comfortable beds.
