We attended my cousins wedding here and it was awesome! The staff was really good- very attentive and friendly! My 2 year old spilled a huge drink in the doorway directly behind the bride and grooms a table right before dinner time. I was so embarrassed but the staff really minimized the incident and repeatedly assured me it was no... More

Between the games room with poker, bridge, pool, slider board and video games and the dancing upstairs, our guests all found something up their alley. While some folks kept it chill out on the balcony, our DJ Swerve (a preferred vendor of theirs) nailed it with fun songs on the dance floor. Other groups had games going downstairs and late... More

Forest House Lodge in Forestville California was recently the venue for my daughter’s wedding. We chose FHL because it handled just about the complete package to provide everything you could think of for a traditional wedding. Since it was also a lodge, they had rooms (at a reasonable cost) for many of the guests to stay the night after an... More

This hotel is beautiful and has everything you need for an amazing event. The brides dressing room was well appointed. We had a beauty bar so that every lady could get ready together. Salon chairs as well! The service was wonderful, staff was very attentive and met our every need. Guest rooms were nice. Too many amenities to list!

When you think wedding you typically don't think lodge.. We came up to a sleepy town and almost past Forest House Lodge.. Once in the door we were greeted by happy staff and a rustic charming feel good place! Our family had the entire house with every room to ourselves for 2 days! The bar was top shelf, fun with... The rooms are old timey and fun. Cabins in the back and great food in the kitchen. This is really an old school Lodge. I love just hanging out there. I've had a perfect visit every time I went there. I was told they were going to do Weddings only and almost broke my heart. I've been going there for... More

I attended a wedding at the Forest House Lodge recently and was overall very impressed with the entire operation. The hotel is rustic, quaint and adorably appointed. The pre-wedding festivities and the reception dinner following the ceremony were held at the lodge. The wedding was at their nearby "wedding venue site" which was located about a mile from the lodge... More

A step back in time, both literally and figuratively. Non-Stop A-1 customer service. The most beautiful location for the most important of ceremonies. The cool breeze through the trees provided wonderful natural music. Who ever heard of amazingly delicious food in a Buffet, and it never stopped coming. Prime Rib at a wedding, and delivered to perfection. Bartenders who know... More

I recently had the pleasure of accompanying the family that I nanny for to the Forest House Lodge for a wedding they were attending. Children were not welcomed at the ceremony and the reception, and so, I went along to be with the 20-month-old that I nanny. I was very impressed with the lodge, the service, the food, the cleanliness... More

“Get a corner room on main St if you want to enjoy the local life.”

“Prepare for smaller than you think, but remember it's a very very old historic building. Less expensive rooms do not have private bath, but there is shared private baths on each floor. Bring a small fan to cool your room.”

“There are rooms with private bathrooms, but I had no issue with sharing the bathroom facilities as they were kept clean over our two-night stay, and there were always plenty of bath linens and bath requirements like soap, shampoo and conditioner.”

“Bathroom is down the hall and shared by all on the floor. If you aren't in to that, you should probably think about staying down in Auburn.”
