We came to this little inn because we we were attending a family wedding at Waterfall Shire in Greenwood. The rooms were clean and comfortable and very affordable. The owner Katie was very accomodating and made sure the rooms were ready early so that we could dress for the event. We especially loved the woodland view garden area with tables and chairs in the shade for gathering. The little town of Georgetown and the pioneer cemetery are worth a visit.

The woodwork on this building tucked in the dense forest is remarkable. From the exposed beams in the rooms to the delightful carved trees just outside each door one can easily feel California of 50 years ago, but it has AC&WIFI Neville is a gracious and efficient host. It's clean, comfortable and wonderful as is.

Very nice person running the place. We stayed in the golden nugget. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, very soft and fluffy. I also really liked the bathroom sink. It was nice and wide and stylish. The shower is a bit small.
Very nicely kept, everything looked clean and organized. I also really like parking right outside of the door!
There are three table/chair areas outside to just sit and chill. We enjoyed a glass of wine sitting under a trellis of grape leaves. Very relaxing. Especially after a day on the Rubicon :)
I would stay here again!

Clean rooms. Comfortable beds, private bathroom. It feels like home. Our room even had a kitchen! The Inn is located about 20 minutes from the American River and close to the off-roading Rubicon trail. The new owner is so gracious and a wonderful host. I highly recommended staying at this quaint inn.

Very quaint, quiet and peacefull stay. Walking distance to store and dining in Georgetown.
Plenty of room to park my truck and trailer for our Jeep adventure over the Rubicon Trail.
Management was helpful and available at all times. Price seemed reasonable compared to other places we've stayed.

My husband and I recently spent the weekend at Rock Creek Inn and were more than pleasantly surprised. First, when we called to make the reservation, the owner, Jeff offered to also make us a dinner reservation. When we arrived at the Rock Creek Inn, we were welcomed by Jeff and we spent some time having an interesting chat. Next he showed us to our room, the hotel layout looks like a motel, but the rooms are really charming and efficient; they have high ceilings, paneled in knotty pine, early American furniture, a comfortable bed, a table to sit at and hi-speed wifi. Furthermore, the decorating is tastefully done. In the room they thought of everything, including ear plugs if needed (we didn't need them). Before dinner, Jeff brought us a bottle of delicious Cabernet and then my husband and I had a scrumptious dinner at Camp Virner, a German and Italian restaurant . We slept soundly that night and the next morning had coffee in our room (coffee maker and coffee provided) and then walked to breakfast. We would both definitely stay here again and it is a great central location to many outdoor activities.

Since this was our first visit to Georgetown we didn't know what to expect, so we were very pleased to meet Jeff, who was very friendly and helpful. There was only one other room booked the night we stayed and we had no issues with the other guests. The room was very clean and comfy and the grounds are well-tended, with nice seating areas outside. There is a bit of traffic noise from the highway and Jeff mentioned that the walls are thin, but they provide earplugs in the room if you need them. Overall a nice stay. Not much to do in Georgetown: a few saloons and restaurants and some art galleries. Can definitely recommend Rock Creek Inn if you find your way there.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Rock Creek Inn through a LivingSocial deal we purchased. Both times I called -- to make the reservation and to let them know we would be arriving late due to traffic -- the phone was answered with "It's a beautiful day at the Rock Creek Inn!" And it's easy to tell that that's always the case, no matter what the weather is! Our room was spacious and oh-so-comfortable, with a huge cushy bed and beautifully rustic yet stylish furnishings -- exactly what I'd expect to find in Gold Country! (And we were in the Gold Nugget room, after all!)

Service was top notch - they were very accommodating about our late arrival due to traffic, and we were provided with great recommendations about where to eat -- Camp Virner, a few miles up the road.

Rock Creek Inn was the perfect jumping-off point for our wine tasting weekend in El Dorado wine country -- we had a fantastic time and will certainly be back!
