We stayed at the Cabernet Cabin, which is on the back side of the property. It was chilly at night, and they (not uncommon in Cali) only had portable heaters, which kept the house at an OK temp. There is no microwave, and the house is old. I would describe the cleanliness as average. The internet was really fast and...

I wouldn't rave about the place but it is exactly what you'd expect from the descriptions. A bit of hostel, a bit of retreat. Very nice pool and hot tub. clean room, comfortable bed. Shared bathroom was fine - there's men's and women's. The roosters do start crowing early. It's a bit worn around the edges but I'd stay there...

Everyone was super friendly and helpful and fellow guests were fund to talk to. Peaceful setting and very affordable. The room was clean, yet the grounds showed a little neglect. I split the room with some buddies, making it even more affordable. We all agreed we would stay here again.

We stayed at the lodge with a group of other people who were attending the same wedding as us. First, the good: the price was great for the area. We only paid $85 for a room with two twin beds. The staff pushed the beds together. It was pretty unnoticeable that we were sleeping on what were two twins at...

It merits a very good for what it is. You should expect more like an 'upgraded camp' than a 'hotel resort'. So prospective visitor be advised! We spent a quiet and relatively comfy night in a lodge room, as sadly our long-ago reserved stay in their Gingerbread House got rained out! The decor everywhere is very Egyptian. Shared bathrooms just...

We wanted to spend a family Sunday in Healdsburg CA. We decided to spend the full day there, so we looked and found a place to stay overnight; Isis Oasis. This is by far the weirdest place I have ever been, but one of the best also. When we got there is was cold and raining. Our accommodation was a...

I visited the sanctuary over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and had a great time. This place is vintage NorCal. The sanctuary is a completely original collection of quirky-themed country dwellings with limited amenities and an over-abundance of charm. The still isolated but easily accessible location is a great place to chill out around the fire pit while the kids run...

We stayed in the Hobbit Hut for our friend's wedding weekend. Miguel also helped us host a pre-wedding taco party outside. We had a wonderful time! Always willing to help out, the staff went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable. I've read a few of the other reviews and I'm curious to know what the detractors were expecting...

The accommodations and grounds are not as clean as they appear in the photos on their website. The whole place looks very run down but I’m sure that it was quite charming in its day. The indoor air quality has a musty smell and was quite unplesant. The linens are awfully thin and worn. Coffee in the morning had black...

This very unusual place to stay is quintessentially Californian to me - clearly the vision of a highly creative person, this older complex of buildings centers around a Temple to Isis. Each painted building is decorated with colorful carved Egyptian motifs: performance hall, dorm and hotel rooms (shared baths), dining hall, outbuildings. With an attractive pool and hot tub in...
