We stayed three nights at the Gaige House in May. The room was very comfortable, breakfast and the early evening cheese and wine were great, and the pool area was lovely to relax in the afternoon sun. The staff at reception were incredibly helpful with suggesting itineraries to explore the area - local wineries, Russian River, the Armstrong Park and...

The Four Sisters Inn is the top regional B&B chain in California. The Gaige is the best establishment in this chain. The Zen Suites are the best rooms at the Gaige. Picture having not one but two private courtyards, fully landscaped. A giant bathroom with a two-headed shower and plus a whirlpool tub. Two closets. Fireplace. Ample free parking. Several...

We stayed three nights at the Gaige House in May. The Inn is beautiful, I just felt like the rooms needed a little extra love to really make the stay perfect. We spent the first night in a King Room in the main old house, overall it was quite lovely but the high ceilings needed to be dusted as there...

We spent a few days' vacation at the Gaige House recently. We had one of the studio suites. The room, while compact, was efficient. We enjoyed the Asia vibe with regards to the décor and the outdoor sculptures. We also liked the fresh baked cookies and the breakfast buffet selection. The location is very convenient to the tourists wanting to...

Stayed in a zen room which was just gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great and wine hour really excellent with growers/staff from a local vineyards in most nights. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly. But... I can't help feeling the whole place needed managing a bit better, breakfast buffet/plates not restocked, other complaints I won't detail, but...

Celebrated my first anniversary here and absolutely loved it. The staff at Gaige House upgraded our our room to one of their suites on the river without us knowing and left a note with some chocolate. The breakfast was delicious and the happy hour wine and cheese was fantastic. Suite 17 was a contemporary, comfortable Japanese-inspired room layout. The property...

Lovely and serene bed and breakfast was perfect for our mother-daughter trip. Beautiful grounds with a creek running below, and upscale, modern decor. Bathroom was so clean, I was comfortable taking a bath in the high end tub. Rained while we were there so couldn't take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but the sound of the rain was...

This is our 5th time staying here. We come up mid-week and escape the crowds. We got an excellent rate (look for 2 nights for 1), sometimes available last minute. Their minimum category room is very nice but their zen suites are sublime. We have stayed in a different room type each time and the zen suites are absolutely worth...

Centrally located but secluded enough to allow for the romantic getaway in wine country. Rooms are well-appointed and nicely decorated. Breakfast is fantastic. Happy Hour wine tasting is a great time to meet the other guests. Worth the visit.

This is a very upscale hotel and our room was one of the lovely Zen rooms. It was really special with a great bed, gorgeous bath, a little garden view from the bathroom and a private patio, the all-important fluffy robes, great decor and so comfortable. Why am I giving an average rating? To me, part of the hotel experience...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tucked into the Sonoma Valley hamlet of Glen Ellen, the Gaige House feels like a secret hideaway. Of course, it's not really a secret; the Gaige House is regularly recommended in Michelin and other guides, and has been listed repeatedly in Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List of the top hotels in the world. Gaige House is part of the prestigious Four Sisters Inns collection and is an elegant blend of vintage and contemporary architecture. The inn features 23 thoughtfully appointed guestrooms with a modern, Asian flair. The verdant, secluded setting along Calabaza's Creek includes an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, and is accented with delightful surprises in hidden spots: a hammock shaded with ancient oaks, a miniature pagoda in a rock garden, a gurgling fountain. After a day of visiting nearby wineries, boutiques and art galleries, return to the Gaige House to indulge in luxurious spa services provided either in-room, or outdoors in a peaceful and private cabana. All guests enjoy a complimentary, full breakfast every morning, and an afternoon wine and cheese reception. ... more   less
