Bed was comfortable. We reserved 2 rooms, a suite and king room which includes a refrigerator, MW and Kueric coffee maker. Our rooms were clean, typically decorated with desk, chair, bedside tables, good lighting. The hotel is adjacent to the freeway and unramp so there's considerable road noise on that side of hotel which interrupted a good night's sleep. Friendly, lounge with breakfast/happy hour meeting area. Self serve continental breakfast was offered from 6:30 -9 AM. This is a non-smoking hotel. However, we had to move as our first room had an overpowering cigarette smell. The previous occupant smoked in the room and the hotel had tried to remedy the smell but were unable to. Few toiletries offered. A shower cap and bath bar as well as shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap dispenser in shower.. There's an area for your luggage and open closet next to door. Vouchers are given daily for happy hour in the lounge area which was a nice touch. Walk to town. Allora restaurant that has indoor/outdoor seating in a cute Victorian house is across the street. Got a delicious take-out from there.

Excellent stay. The staff is super friendly and competent. Breakfast and happy hour are wonderful amenities. The GM (Kathe) goes above and beyond (we hosted a group business meeting and she was constantly checking in and helpful). Comfortable bed /sleeping room and nice lobby. We will be back and recommend this hotel for business or pleasure -- truly a great experience.

Second time here. Planned weekend get away this time without our dog. Same great and friendly service. Bed super comfy. Lived in room keurig and fact there was regular coffee mug and not just disposable ones. Breakfast was Hot and fresh. If I had to find anything it would be lack of parking. Love location being so close to town. If we return to gas valley will be go to stop

It's always such a pleasure (and a relief!) to stay at a nice hotel. Gold Miners Inn easily exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully furnished and sparkling clean. My husband went to the happy hour, and we both greatly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The selections there were varied and tasty. If I had to make one suggestion, though, it would be to have at least two choices in the coffee. A breakfast blend would have been welcome as not everyone can take the strong taste of french roast coffee.

Wow, we were upgraded to the one bedroom fireplace suite from the king 1 room suite we reserved. Gorgeous! Bed was comfortable, Keurig coffee maker and microwave as well as dining table and huge living room. A smaller table to set up computers. The front desk people were super nice, giving us bottled water every day and tickets for 2 happy hour drinks pp per day. Informal self-serve breakfast fine, hot food as well as cold, I liked the biscuits, sausages and Chobani yogurts. One block up to the shopping area and movie theater on a pedestrian only street. We were there 3 nights but could have stayed longer. Thanks everyone at the hotel! (I tried to use the link to leave a review with them, but it wouldn't load for me in any browser. Sorry.) We visited the Empire mine, took the mine tour which was fun thanks to our guide, and ate at Diego's which has excellent food and is a fun place to go. Spend time in Nevada City also, very charming old homes, shops, and historical parks.

This is a wonderful hotel! Recently refurbished with interesting artifacts, photos and art from the Gold Rush Era that brought Grass Valley and the surrounding communities into being. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Everything you could want, including comfortable beds and extra pillows. Plus the free hot breakfast every morning! I like that there is someone in the office at night as well as during the day, and the front doors are accessible at night only with a guest room key. Grass Valley is a wonderful place to visit, I recommend coming to experience the area and stay at Gold Miners Inn.

We have developed a tradition of bringing our grandkids up for snow play every year. The routine is to stay at Gold Miners Inn and then drive up to donner summit for a day of sledding. The Inn works perfectly for us with the good sized rooms and amenities, and the morning breakfast and evening cocktail hours are highlights. Across the board staff is friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you have a good time. Just got back today from our latest trip, and already thinking of booking another snow run!

There is a sign in the lobby stating they are the #1 rated hotel in Grass Valley and lived up to that. We were upgraded to a generous well appointed suite. They have a happy hour for guests and while not fancy, the hostess did her best to please! This hotel is convenient to downtown and there was plenty of free parking. Breakfast was a good mix of items and well looked after. We were sorry to leave.
