We planned a last minute family trip to Yosemite National Park on Thanksgiving weekend and we're so lucky to come across this great cabin in the woods!
The Meadow Lark cabin had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing time at the park. Our cabin was 2 rooms, with 3 b

Can we give six stars? The night after we left our thoughts were “but we aren’t at Sunset”. As we turned up the lane, we wondered if we were in the right place despite the incredibly clear directions. We saw a few small rustic cabins on a narrow gravel path. The chickens were cr

We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The Nichols were wonderful hosts. We received an upgraded cabin, cooked our dinner on a nice new webber with completely charcoal, engaged in pleasant conversation with the owners and generally enjoyed the overnight exper

First, Lauren & Bill’s directions to these charmingly rustic, well-appointed cabins were perfect. Advice: drive to the Sunset cabins during daylight, especially on initial arrival. The roads in this mountainous region are fine, but easier to navigate during daytime.

We stayed in the Sugar Pine Cabin during our first trip to Yosemite and we’ve decided this will be the first place we try to book if we return to the park. The area was secluded and quiet, but not far from the park entrance and the sights. The Sugar Pine Cabin is at the end of th

I have my doctor's letter for my emotional support Yorkie. He is mature and well mannered. He travels everywhere with us. Please advise.
Hi Polly, Thanks for asking. Unfortunately pets are not allowed in our cabins (including our own). It is mainly a matter of fur. I believe there are a few pet friendly properties in the Groveland area. Best wishes, Lauren Nickell

Do the 2 bedroom plus rooms have 2 bathrooms? We have reservations in October & there will be 4 adults.
Dear Vickie D, If you are referring to the Yosemite River Cabin, managed by Sunset Inn, this vacation home has 3 bedrooms and just one bathroom. Please let us know if you have further questions. Is it pet friendly?
Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, due to our own very energetic and unrelenting puppy, Sunset Inn is no longer able to accept pets. If your pooch can find accommodations elsewhere, we would love to have you to stay with us! If not, here are 3 other potential ‘pet friendly’ lodgings in the area: Hotel Charlotte Groveland Hotel Lillaskog Lodge Kind regards, Lauren Nickell Sunset Inn

Hello, i'm plannig a vacation for the 2017 summer. Likely in early August (1st and/or 2nd) we'll have to drive thru Yosemite, with no much time to visit it though. I was wondering if you take reservation for 1 night only or if there is a minimum stay required. We would be 4 adults and 5 kids (16, 12, 12, 10, 7) and beside the 2 adult couples we can giggle the kids as we want. Would you have availability somehow? thank you and best regards
Thank you for asking. Unfortunately we do not have any lodging suitable for a group your size. Best wishes, Lauren Nickell Sunset Inn
