We spent a few days @ Baldwins with the kids and grandparents - as usual, we had a great time. It's peaceful, relaxing and fun. It was fun meeting other families and couples down at the fire pit too. The kids loved the playground and sandbox, while we enjoyed shuffleboard, barbequing and the beach. The water btw is very warm. We've come the last 5 years or so, and appreciate the improvements they've made - we'll be back next year.

Stayed 1 night in the Pinecrest Cottage, beds were comfy and cottage was clean. As others have mentioned in their reviews it is outdated but from the photos on the website it was not a surprise and we did not mind. Only downfall is the restaurant at the Inn was not open for dinner, we were told dining was available at Windermere Hotel but they are not allowing anyone other that their own guests. There is a takeout option at Windemere which suited us well for the one night but for anyone looking to be able to go out there are no local options. Nearest town for dining and shopping is Port Carling.

We spent a few nice quiet days here at the end of June but were disappointed with the resort. It is old and rundown, and managed in a rather haphazard way. Our room was OK but the whole place is in need of upgrading. And broken glass on the ground next to the defunct pool building was a hazard. We won't be back.

My partner and I had planned a quiet birthday weekend, as we usually do, but decided that we wanted to get away, while we could, for a bit. So, last minute, we booked a room at the Baldwin's Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the outdoor fire pits, the playgrounds, the organic garden next to the pond, the oversized chess board...we knew we had come to the right place. The ambiance was wonderfully rustic and communal. In a time when interacting with strangers is no longer a thing we do...the outdoor spaces afforded us opportunities to meet new people safely. The room was very comfortable and very clean. It had everything we needed. We had an adventure there--my birthday happened upon that weekend. We had decided to buy local seafood and fresh vegetables and throw them on the barbeque, inviting our new temporary neighbours to join us in a small communal feast. But, we woke...and the skies were pouring forth. The rains were predicted to last all day. My intrepid partner went to talk to the chef, asking if we could hold a small dinner with ingredients that we had planned. The chef, wearing his mask, took this all in. We dropped off our supplies. At the appointed time, we, and 2 others, were served a 5 star dinner. So much better than we would have concocted for ourselves. We were delighted. And the service was incredible. This may stay in my memory as my best best birthday ever.

Just came back from my 4 th visit to the New Baldwin’s It is everything you could want and more The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The accommodations are great. As long as I did not have to cook the meals were excellent. The property is huge. The lake is a short walk across the road. The hiking trails are unbelievable in the area It is so quiet and so well kept! I will be back!
