We enjoyed our babymoon here. The room we had was spacious, 2nd floor, end room with vaulted ceilings with an extra window looking out on the golf course (not a very beautiful one) and houses. Set back away from the road which was nice. Not...More

Thank you Sean, we appreciate the kind words and five-star ratings!
It’s not that the place was horrible. The room was clean. The breakfast was reasonable. However, there were several major issues especially considering the price. There was no air conditioning. So, we needed to keep our sliding glass door open at night to keep it...More

This is a very old dusty motel that is in desperate need of a remodel. The remote control had hair on it, there was a half a bottle of Coca-Cola in the refrigerator when we arrived, and the bathroom vanity was cracked and had ants...More

We have stayed at the Half Moon Bay Lodge for about 20 years and find it comfortable, clean and convenient. HMB has a good selection of restaurants and outdoor attractions, especially the shoreline parks. The hotel is mid range and about 30 years old. It is pre-ADA, so not all of the rooms are accessible. You could spend a lot more for an upscale hotel, but the Half Moon Bay Lodge provides a good cost-benefit value. Note: If you stay on the second floor there isn't an elevator, so you may want to consider a first floor room.
