This large private room was completely adequate for our purposes. Neat & clean with all the things you need. Apparently, this is the room attached to the main house and there is another separate cottage that is highly prized. Spent a very pleasant evening in the garden having brought in dinner. The owners dog was endless entertainment. The location was...

Stayed at Zinscape 10 years ago! It was awesome, so much so that we wanted to stay again. What is great - location next to a vineyard, privacy, facilities to prepare meals, awesome croissants each morning, wonderful bathroom. Why I have to give an average rating - I think the mattress on the bed was the same mattress from 10...

Ironically we had already made the upgrade of the mattress before we read the review. I guess that makes it even more unsettling. We get so many people who stay and no one has mentioned the bed as a bad experience. None the less we always take to heart a negative review and always address it. Please read all other...

Most other reviewers have accurately commented on the idyllic location of this unique facility. My wife and I had the good fortune to discover Zinscape not long after it opened and have returned at least annually in pursuit of our wine explorations. The quiet matches our home environment in the mountains adjacent to wilderness. Most noteworthy is probably Bruce's attention...

If you are looking for a quiet corner of Dry Creek valley to relax, this is your place. There is nothing better than waking up to the sun rise over the vineyards. The cottage is a great place to rest or a base for exploring the region. The room is comfortable and the breakfast items are great. Enjoy!

Stayed in what seemed like the middle of vineyard. Great croissants, very nice room with coffee maker, wonderful little patio. Great location located in the middle of Dry Creek area with incredible vineyards all around. Couldn't ask for a better location and cottage! Bruce gave us some great advice on places to see in the area. Had a fabulous time...

We have been staying about twice a year at Zinscape for about 3 years and we are never disappointed. The past visit was no exception. It is a quiet sanctuary in close proximity to both fine dining and great wineries. The perks include your own private entrance, a well-equipped kitchenette with all the makings for a good breakfast provided, a...

If you're looking to get away from it all in a beautiful serene location, yet still be in driving distance away from some of the best food and wine in the world, Zinscape is the perfect place. The rental is located walking distance from some amazing wineries (Bella, Zichichi, Preston) and the walk is incredibly scenic. Downtown Healdsburg is just...

Positives: A beautiful location in the Dry Creek Valley. It is far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to the Healdsburg Plaza and our favorite restaurant, Willi's Seafood. The decor in both the cottage and guest room is lovely. Negatives: The cottage has an odor, the towels were VERY stinky/sour, and there was NO top sheet on the...

Sometimes it seems your only as good as your last review, at least that's what people read first until another one is left. It is rare when we have a negative review so we feel compelled to respond. The few times we get away, and this was one, we were on vacation in Tahoe. We had someone else handling our...

Well, practically.... When you open up the curtain in the morning, you'll feel like you're in a vineyard because you're just feet away - literally. This is a great alternative to the usual hotel. It's a little cottage next to the owners house in a gorgeous area 15 minutes north of Healdsburg. It's basically a very big bedroom with the...

We finally got a weekend away from our young children (thank you, grandparents!) and spent two nights at Zinscape. The first afternoon we walked to three wineries nearby (nothing like a 2-mile stroll among the vines to get you ready for some wine tasting). The second day we did some hiking in the redwoods and then some more wine tasting....

“There's only one Zinscape cottage, but there is a second guest room that we've used to accomodate another couple.”

“The cottage is lovely, very private and the view of the vineyard is fantastic, but it had a weird odor when we stayed there (cat, septic? we couldn't quite pinpoint it). The portable AC made it much more comfortable when we stayed as it was very hot. Without it a nap would not have been do-able. The soaking tub is incredible and very worth the time to fill. The guest room had no AC and it got pretty warm during the day (although we were not there much during the day). The fact that they do not provide top sheets for the beds is downright weird. We had to ask for them for both rooms, then remake the beds ourselves which was off-putting (even if they do wash the duvet cover between each guest it would be entirely too hot to use the down comforter in the summer. The towels were high quality, but stunk like they had been left in the washer for a week and left our skin smelling the same - yuck! BUT, everything else about this place is awesome. The location is stunning, the rooms nicely appointed, very relaxing location, the owner friendly... Great wine country location at a great price.”
