Dane and Rita host the most pleasant B & B experience we've ever had. Their stately old home and grounds are incredibly well maintained. Rita's breakfast quiches are to die for. Dane makes award winning wine - he has even named the individual vines of the various grape varieties he has planted in front of the home. Do not miss...

Just returned from a wonderful two night/three day trip to Healdsburg- stayed at the Raford Inn and it was awesome! The Raford Inn has a very special, quaint charm, our room (the Blueberry) was very comfortable with view of the vineyards and a fireplace which made the room comfy cozy. Dane and Rita host wine and cheese every evening and...

What a beautiful building, with surroundings that take your breath away! The rooms are all beautiful, and sitting outside on the porch (even in December) drinking wine and listening to the frogs was such a treat. The breakfasts were home-cooked and delicious, the wine and cheese 'happy hour' most convivial! Nothing was too much for these delightful owners - so...

You can tell a lot about a place by its guests and those we met were repeat customers of The Raford. This is an outstanding place to stay. A lovely location. Dane and Rita are great hosts. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. The hosts are very helpful...

The setting of this B & B is very beautiful, though fairly distant from town. Rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques. Breakfasts are served precisely at 9 am, but on the days we needed an earlier start, the staff provided a simple carry-out box of fruit and muffins. We stayed in the Blueberry Room which was located just off the...

This is an outstanding place to stay if you want to get away from it all and be close to the wineries and all the Russian River area has to offer. Beautiful and historic, the only thing that tops the residence are the owners Dane and Rita. They posses a knowledge of the local wineries and restaurants, area attractions that...

This inn is very charming and its location in front of a vineyard is relaxing and peaceful. The front porch is just delightful. The decor is vintage and antique in keeping with the age of the house. The wine and cheese on the porch in the afternoon was a great way to meet other guests and get to know the...

Beautifully situated on the top of a hill on an old homestead, this B&B is charming and very reasonably priced! The owners are charming and extremely helpful and the view from the expansive front porch is fabulous! While the decor is not updated, it fits the overall feeling of the place. The Farmhouse Restaurant is just down the road as...

I live very near this beautiful Inn, situated and surrounded by vineyards in Sonoma Wine Country. Their gardens are very beautiful and I met the owners Rita Welch and Dane Pitcher who are lovely people and Rita gave me a tour inside the beautiful Inn.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This classic Victorian Plantation landmark manor house, built in 1880, once presided over a huge empire of hops. Converted to an intimate country bed and breakfast in 1980 it sits upon a knoll above an unspoiled Russian River vineyard valley ringed by redwood forested mountains. Lovingly preserved it is a place of quiet beauty in the hills of Healdsburg Wine Country. Return now to a time and place that has not quite yet gone by. ... more   less
