This is our first bed and breakfast experience and I must say that the Raford Inn sets the bar exceptionally high. The location is about 10-15 minutes outside of downtown Healdsburg. The inn is set amidst the countryside in a quiet location with relaxing, spectacular views of the grapevines and surrounding landscape. The owners Dane and Rita and their entire...

After staying in many B and B's this is the tops. First of all you are out in the vineyards and enjoy an amazing view. Second the rooms and grounds are well maintained and simple but elegant. Third the service is amazing with lots of extras-such as cookies and biscotti available all the time, plus hosted wine tastings on the...

Our first time at the Raford B&B near Healdsburg. Several guests had been back multiple times. Location suits well for a number of activities in the area. The rooms are nicely appointed in country style with modern amenities. We stayed in the Sage Room, with a gas fireplace, window AC unit (not sure how often its needed...in April we used...

From the time we booked till the time we checked out, we felt well cared for by the owners and the “Inn Keepers” (staff). This cozy, well-appointed historic house is only half of the pleasure of coming to the Raford. The food, the information about the wine country, and local restaurants was really over the top, not to mention the...

This is an exceptional B&B in a part of the country where almost every place is immaculate. The rooms are excellent and have everything you need, with a comfortable bed. Coffee, tea and cookies are always available, and the wine and snacks are generous and first rate. Dane and Rita are welcoming and generous with their conversation and knowledge, and...

The Raford is an imposing property set on a hilltop with pretty grounds and a view overlooking vineyards - a picture perfect wine country destination. The service was outstanding and the staff ready to accommodate our special requests. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, had a comfortable king size bed and windows that open, the heating worked well...

We have been staying here e for 2 days and had a most wonderful time. Rooms are lovely, breakfast delicious, and having the chance to spend a bit of time with Rita and Dane at wine/cheese time at the fireplace was a joy. I can imagine siting on the porch in summertime with a glass of wine in the hand...

Had the good fortune to stay at this inn for 3 nights, Feb. 10-12. This inn does everything so well, starting with a warm welcome and ending with a cheerful goodbye. The inn is very clean, the bed is comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious. Everyone makes sure your stay is all it should be. The owners, Dane and Rita could...

Beautiful Inn. Lovely hosts! We stayed for two nights. They offer complimentary wine and cheese every evening. We were fortunate enough to have a gentleman from a local winery come do a tasting for us one night. He invited us to come to the winery, the following day, which we did not have a chance to do, but we will...

This beautiful inn sits at the top of a hill overlooking a vineyard in the Healdsburg area. We luxuriated on the front porch with a glass of wine watching the sun set. The "Blueberry" room was comfortable and spacious. The hosts provided a wine and cheese reception and a delicious full breakfast in the morning. My only issues were coffee...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This classic Victorian Plantation landmark manor house, built in 1880, once presided over a huge empire of hops. Converted to an intimate country bed and breakfast in 1980 it sits upon a knoll above an unspoiled Russian River vineyard valley ringed by redwood forested mountains. Lovingly preserved it is a place of quiet beauty in the hills of Healdsburg Wine Country. Return now to a time and place that has not quite yet gone by. ... more   less
