We spent four nights at Rambala, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but not everyone would. The first challenge is finding it, and then you have to hike in 20 minutes while Tomas and the horse haul your luggage. Once there, there is no electricity, no hot water, no screens (except for bed nets), and little in the way of "entertainment". What...

We thought of you often with the rainy weather after you left for the islands. Hope you were able to enjoy your time there and that you made it out on time for your travel plans. It was a pleasure to have you.

We stayed one night at Rambala Jungle Lodge on our way to Bocas del Toro. The cabins were cool and breezy, right next to little waterfalls and pools of the mountain river. There was a trail right from the door of my cabin down to a small pool in the river where I could take a quick dip, and the...

We just spent 4 days at Rambala Lodge and here’s our report: The first installment of first-hand moments with the expansive power and honesty of nature was had driving over the continental divide, through the blasting clouds on the winding road. Marvelous drive. The directions provided were good-enough and got us to the unimproved road out of Rambala village and...

Thanks so much for your great review and for visiting our little place in the jungle. We so enjoyed having you both with us and felt as if we had known you forever. Hope you will return sometime.

To reach this place you need to walk 1,5 hour from the village of Rambala to the Jungle Lodge. (If you don't want to walk you can take a taxi but it's a nice walk, so put on your hiking shoes!) In the jungle you will find three nice cabins and the main area, all build by the owner himself....

I loved my stay at Rambala Lodge! Everyone was so nice and hospitable and the location is gorgeous. My favorite part was having a stream right outside my lodge so I could fall asleep listening to it. I came here on a trip with my herpetology class and we were able to find many beautiful reptiles and amphibians. Often I...

We have been to many locations in Panama but this is clearly one of the most unique. Eric and Lynn have done a terrific job in creating a remote and very unique experience. You can swim in a river waterhole surrounded by a magnificent jungle landscape as well as hike and find very unique dart frogs, lizards and plants. We...

Carl Sagan once said "The planet is teaming with life"…..and there is no better place to see it than at Rambala Jungle Lodge. Every minute of our three days was filled with the wonders of nature unfolding before our eyes. The extensive Ramabla Jungle Lodge trail system winds through thick jungle filled with frogs, lizards, sloths, and a wide variety...

We were here for our herpetology trip for a few days and it tops my list of places to stay in Panama. I've been to this country a year ago for a tropical biology class and we stayed at a few places. We had to hike a trail to reach the lodge, a moderate hike. Make sure to bring rain...

We visited Rambala Jungle Lodge again last week and it was as beautiful and wild as it was on our last trip there. It was really refreshing taking a dip in one of the river pools and relaxing under a waterfall. The cabins are built right on the river so you have a great view of the rushing river below...

This place is amazing! So refreshing and beautiful. It takes you back to the simple things. The staff is friendly, informative, fun and wonderful. Delicious food and delightful drinks. It was such a great experience trekking through the jungle and seeing all the glory that it beholds. I definitely want to go back as each day brings a new adventure...
