Nestled in a prime location, the Pasea Hotel & Spa garners acclaim for its beach-chic atmosphere and proximity to local attractions. While the hotel offers a range of amenities and pet-friendly services, some guests have called out areas needing improvement, such as valet efficiency. The rooms boast appealing amenities and views, yet issues with cleanliness and noise have been noted. Despite the high praise for the hotel's overall cleanliness and festive vibe, travelers caution that the noise levels and value for money may not meet everyone's standards.

We typically like to try new places each time we travel, but the Pasea is so wonderful that it’s become our go-to when we visit SoCal. The location is perfect, across from the beach and within a 5 min walk to the downtown drag. Also situated next to the Pacific City shopping mall, which features shopping, dining, wellness and exercise options. The hotel ambiance is beach-chic yet warm and inviting. Gorgeous pool and poolside areas including a large outdoor bar. The spa is fantastic (albeit pricey) . And the staff is delightful!

We are locals and stayed at Paséa’ for the 4th of July. We stayed Wednesday-Saturday in a room on the 8th floor facing the pier which was a great view for the fireworks. The standard rooms are small, especially for the price, but the hotel is beautiful and you can’t beat the location. We ended up extending our stay and changed to an oceanfront suite. They offered a 20% discount for mobile booking so we thought what the heck. That room was spectacular. I have not one complaint. This is a corner room off Pacific Coast Highway and partially facing the outdoor “mall” Pacific City so the noise levels are high. It has a lively bar/lounge right across from the bedroom so this may not be the best choice for young children over a busy weekend or holiday. It’s noisy but of course you can always keep the doors closed and it helps block the noise. We will definitely be back. Overall it was a great staycation.

We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to know you enjoyed your stay with us. We strive to provide exceptional service and amenities to all our guests, and we're delighted that we could do so for you. During your next stay, you can also request a south end room that will face away from the pier, which limits the noise coming from Pacific City. We would be happy to pre-block you into one of these rooms if you would like to contact the hotel directly. We look forward to seeing again you soon!

Seeing all my cords to charge my devices wrapped up and organized meant a lot after a long day working. I was so tired and walked into the room and saw how so much attention to detail was placed at making the room feel brand new. This touch to the stay was appreciated so much. And thank you for refilling the boxed water and coffee bar ❤️

The room was dirty. The staff was rude. The phone and tv in room didn’t work. I booked 2 months in advance for a milestone birthday celebration and requested a room w a view of pool and partial ocean view but when we arrived they “upgraded” us to the back of the hotel overlooking the roof. The bartender used his bare hands to garnish my drink tracking into the fruit. The service was aweful and frankly I will never stay here again. I was over $550 a night I’m in disbelief of how poor the service was. I came with a group of 8 for a spa day and had to take my business to the Hilton next door because they just were so rude. The Hilton accommodated our group w a special rate. I wish I had booked my stay at the Hyatt or Hilton over the Pasea. We are locals and frequent these hotels for dinner, drinks and more but I had never stayed at Pasea prior. I will never stay here again. I swear it was so bad. We even order off the pet menu for breakfast because the brunch menu did t have many options. Pet menu (was real food not dog food) offers oatmeal and omelettes where the regular menu did not.
Overall the hotel was dirty and the staff was very rude.

Pasea is a fantastic hotel with a boutique feel. The staff are warm, welcoming and very well trained. The decor has a cool beachy feel and the hotel is full of unique artwork by local artists. Stayed in an ocean view king room overlooking the pool which was spacious with a nice balcony. Robes and flip flops provided offer a comfortable touch. There is a white noise system in the room but it was quiet and we didn’t need to use it. Mini fridge, Keurig machine for coffee and tea and safe all provided. The pool area gets busy but the vast and beautiful beach is right across the street and the hotel provides chairs, umbrellas and a pedi cart to transport guests over. The Treehouse bar is a super cool rooftop space with comfy couches and an outdoor lounge feel with incredible ocean views. The hotel has one restaurant, open all day, including access from the pool, as well as a separate coffee shop/ gift shop. There’s a beautiful spa with 8 treatment rooms as well as separate men’s and women’s steam rooms and saunas. And right next door there is a high end outdoor shopping center which has a mix of mainstream and boutique stores as well as multiple restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines and atmospheres. Pasea is very well placed in Huntington Beach, slightly removed from the main tourist area but close enough to walk. It is family friendly but better for tweens and teens than younger children who might prefer more kid friendly amenities. Highly recommend!!

While the hotel advertises a kids promotion, we strongly suggest that you don't bring your kids here. Not a kid friendly pool or atmosphere, and the music from the tree top bar pounding late into the night doesn't help either. No good kids meal options for room service, just grilled chicken (blackened with pepper) and veggie quesadilla, neither of which kids actually want to eat. Also poor drink service at the pool, difficult time getting served.

This was my 3rd visit to Pasea Hotel & Spa and it was another great experience. The hotel staff is so friendly and helpful. The guest room is so well appointed with sliding glass doors that open out onto your balcony with amazing Pacific Ocean beach views! Close that sliding glass door and your room is so quiet affording you a peaceful night of sleep. Pool, cabanas, spa - all wonderful amenities to enjoy!

Don’t recommend this hotel to friends. A lot hidden fees. Price online is $300+, but I end up being charged for over $1100 for two-day stay for just the room and parking. Their housekeeping woke you up by knocking on your door at 9:00am twice asking the same thing. Coffee machine doesn’t work. The facility and location is good, if you don’t care about the quality of the service you can still stay here. Not worth it.

The full ocean view we got in room 422 was only a partial ocean view. When standing in the room looking out, we could only see a roof. To see the ocean, we had to step out on the balcony and look to the left. Very disappointing for what is classified as a full ocean view room. Also, we stayed August 17th & 18th. Saturday was so busy, we were not able to get 2 chairs together by the pool unless we were willing to rent a covered cabana. I wanted to enjoy being in the sunshine. The chairs lining each side of the pool are double padded loungers and they are rental only. These were all reserved and not available either. Sunday, we waited in a sitting area just outside the pool and waited about an hour for 2 chairs to come available. It's unfortunate to stay at a hotel with a nice pool for a weekend, and have it be so hard to get chairs to enjoy it. We did really like the Lorea restaurant. Creative chef, great service and yummy food.

Thank you for staying with us at the Pasea Hotel & Spa. We are very sorry to hear that there were a few areas of your stay that did not meet expectations. We do have ocean view and an oceanfront room category available on our property. From our ocean view rooms, you can see the water from the room, but it is true that there are some rooms on lower floors that might look out to Pacific City or the rooftop. Due to the confusion, we would be more than happy to offer you a complimentary upgrade to one of our oceanfront rooms during your next visit. We are also very sorry to hear that you did not receive a chair at the pool. We purchased 20 additional chairs this year in hopes that this would better accommodate all of our guests, but we do advise guests to head down by around 11am if they would like to find a spot for the day. That being said, please reach out to our Director of Operations, Timothy Finley. at timothy.finley@paseahotel.com when you plan on returning to the area. We would definitely like to make this up to you in the near future!

This Spa is absolutely next level! It is the most beautiful facility I have ever visited and the staff is top level! From my check in with Charissa to my check out with Maggie, it was an amazing experience. I am a local in Huntington Beach and my family sent me there for a much-needed Swedish massage and de-stress time. Charissa gave me a tour and made sure everything was already handled so I had nothing to think about or be concerned about during my massage. My masseuse (Mesio) made me feel very comfortable and worked out all my knots, relieving all my stress that let me let everything go. She’s a very skilled masseuse who can read where your body needs more pressure. She’s been in the business 14 years all at top end spas. When you purchase a service at the spa, you can come and go until they close that day at 5 PM. They have a hot tub, steam room, sauna, showers, lockers, as well as an indoor and outdoor relaxation area. You’re welcome to hang out in these areas as long as you wish for that day. In the outdoor relaxation area you can have food and beverages served to you as well. They think of all the little details that make big differences down to the mouthwash in the restroom. The decor is Bali inspired and has many handmaid items from Bali itself. Such as the door that welcomes you into the spa area. Exceptionally clean and inviting. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience there today. They really made me feel pampered, relaxed, and let me completely de-stress!

The closest train station is Anaheim, Irvine,or Santa Ana which are all about a 30 min drive away. Anaheim I think is the best one. It’s one of the biggest and it’s recently been remodeled. Check Amtrak . com for tickets and routes. Pacific Surfliner is the main train that stops at the coastal cities and Los Angeles.
