Honest, i really thought hard if i wanted to share my secret of Mankas. It would be sad if they got so busy that i couldn't go anymore... I live in Hawaii and it was such an awesome place I have gone twice in a month. First i have to say the area is a treasure. Beautiful coastal hikes, wildlife,...

Stayed for two nights and found it to be very satisfactory. Booked an inexpensive room and was pleased with the well-dressed king bed and stylish, spacious bath. Had some wonderful meals delivered to our room courtesy of our hosts. Nice, after a day outdoors, to have a delicious meal in a corner window area then have a hot bath. No...

After just one night in Manka's cabin my wife and I felt more relaxed and rejuvenated from the experience than we have in years. From the gracious welcome and introduction to the room, the warm fire that was ready to be lit, the amazing selection of music on the in room I-Pod, the outdoor rainfall shower and the understated but...

Seriously, This place is AMAZING. I'm shocked at all of the "SCAM" reviews about this place. I heard about Manka's from some Hollywood friends of mine, who shall remain nameless. I live in Marin County and my friends were stunned that I had never even heard of Manka's. So, I took their advice and booked a room for the weekend...

I had no idea what to expect pulling up to the quirky old silver airstream for check-in (since the main lodge burnt down, this is where the staff hangs out), but as soon as they handed us the just-made mulled wine and caramel corn and showed us to our room, I knew we were in for a fantastic stay. Unfortunately...

Do not stay at Manka’s Inverness Lodge. Manka’s is not luxury lodging. It isn’t even habitable lodging. Their website is a fraud, and Manka’s employees are not to be trusted to describe the property truthfully. Our experience with Manka’s was an unqualified disaster. I made plans for two of us to spend two nights beginning Christmas day. I called the...

We stayed in Manka's cabin for 2 nights after Christmas and loved it! Not sure what we enjoyed most - the roaring fire in the beautiful sea stone fireplace, outdoor shower, gorgeous scenery around the cabin and Pt. Reyes National Seashore, our fireside dinner, the Christmas trees in the cabin and on the porch, garland and pine cones decorating the...

Do NOT book stay with Mankas. I booked the Boathouse ($800 per night!) for my birthday and were told by their staff to call weeks in advance to give our dietary restictions for a dinner the chef makes on Friday nights. We called and left several message over a 3 week period and never got a call back. I called...

We have just stayed at Manka's Inverness Lodge upon recommendation of the Slow Food Guide San Francisco and have checked it against the internet presentation of the Lodge itself. Whilst the room is certainly something special and very nicely done, the breakfast was ok, we did expect something totally different: a restaurant with a bustling business and a lodge tugged...

So much thought and creativity went into the guest experience at this charming lodge. We were greeted with glasses of wine, which we enjoyed while exploring the room with its Ipod programmed with great music, outdoor hot tub, wood burning fireplace, and antique books. Homemade breakfasts were delivered to our door, and we were given a snack to tide us...

“There are only four rooms in the annex. We were assured that ours was "the best" but I have no personal basis for comparison.”

“If pockets are deeper than Tomales bay and you don't mind a few floatsom Manka's will be ideal simply for the cabins structure alone.”

“These are all old rooms, so don't expect fancy. Just comfy rustic. Annex rooms are least expensive, quiet and comfortable. Decide if a fireplace or deep tub is more important. You will have neighbors. The other units have more privacy, and are more expensive. Ask about the different situations. The boat house is nice if you want to be on the water. The annex is nice if you are on a budget.”
