We travel frequently, and rarely stay in properties described as "Bed and Breakfasts". Nevertheless, we heeded the advise of fellow travelers on Tripadvisor, and stayed at the Julian Lodge whilst visiting Anza Borrego State Park. On arriving in the town, we were pleased to see that the lodge was one block back from Main Street - close to, but not...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Really glad we chose to stay here over other places in town! So impressed with the friendly and accommodating staff-it makes all the difference when you're on a trip. Our room was upstairs with a view of the hills and trees. Bed was comfortable and heating/cooling unit worked great. Definitely recommend this spot and we'd definitely stay again! Great mid-week...

Room was charming and decorated in a rustic manner. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, nice shower pressure and a/c worked well. The lodge is a block away from the downtown Julian area so very convenient. Staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful. Basic continental breakfast provided.

Our stay was what one would expect from a small place in a small town- HOWEVER the staff was awesome, the place was spotless, lots of parking, and the perfect breakfast to set you out for exploring during the day. We were there for the wildflowers and were lucky to get a room. Roni took wonderful care of us --...

We stayed here after visiting the wildflowers in bloom at Borrego State Park. This is a very nice quiet comfortable place to stay, with all the amenities one needs, but a setting from the past. it is located in the heart of the town just steps from the main street. The staff was friendly and the breakfast more than adequate.

The room was a little smaller and less furnished than the Best Western we had stayed at the night before, but if you understand it’s a rustic bed and breakfast lodge, it is a pleasant stay. The lodge is a short walk from the main street and early the next morning, I wandered around the empty, quiet town alone in...

My family LOVES the Julian Lodge! We have been coming here for years! I have seen reviews about them not being a bed and breakfast which is absolutely untrue because they definitely are when you understand the term "Bed and Breakfast ("sleeping accommodations for a night and a morning meal, provided in guest houses and small hotels"). I think people...

Excellent experience from the check in process to the check out. Friendly and clean! The morning buffet had everything to start your day and choices were abundant. The lobby was always available with fresh fruit and drinks and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Located within walking distance to Main Street.

Stayed with family. Had several rooms. Receptionist was very nice. The breakfast was adequate with no complaints from anyone. Rooms were clean. The beds were no so good. So far three different rooms and three dfferent complaints about the beds. Either too hard or too soft.
