This hotel was awesome in every way. The location is ideal and within walking distance of most La Jolla destinations. The staff went out of it's way to accomodate all of our needs. The building is beautiful. The ocean view room was fantatstic. We really enjoyed the bar as well. We rented bikes. We borrowed beach chairs, beach towels and...

Interesting old hotel. Multiple separate buildings. Internal stairs and ramps - not good for those with mobility issues. Food was very good. Nice location in downtown La Jolla and close to ocean. Reservations were a bit of a nightmare.

Upon arrival at check in we were asked what time we would like our room to be cleaned the next day. We stated 10:00 a.m....When we returned at 4:00 p.m. housekeeping still had not been to our room. Front counter should not ask and then not provide the service.

Dear 687russg: I am so sorry about the issue you experienced with our housekeeping during your recent stay with us. Our standard is to tell our guests at check-in that we service the rooms between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily. While we do our best to accommodate specific time requests, we are just not able to guarantee. I am...

This was our first time spending and extended amount of time in La Jolla and the hotel first trip with our 7 month old daughter. The Junior Suites with it's kitchen was perfect for making the stay with our little one a bit easier.

This is a well run hotel, with a quality bed, linens and products. It's really between a 4 and 5 but since that's not a choice I went with the 5. The service is prompt, polite but not obsequious. The hotel has been renovated so that it feels well kept and current, but retains an old world charm. The hotel...

Excellent hotel with great service. Very clean. Upgraded our room to the adjacent hotel property. The room was spacious, had a small kitchen and separate bedroom.
