My family and I have been to Cedar Crest a few times in the past few summers. Camping is what it is. It is for the outdoor enthusiast. If you want clean and luxury go stay at a hotel. If you like the peace and tranquility of the outdoors and you do not mind the dust and wildlife that come...

We have never been to Huntington lake before this year and we decided to try something different. We booked at Cedar Crest and the people over the phone seemed very helpful and eager to help. The web site said dogs "had" to be on leashes so we took our dog and leash only to find when we pulled up there...

Located in the high in the central Sierras, this is basically a camping resort, with older cabins, nestled among Pine trees, next to Huntington Lake. Our stay in late August was more than satisfactory, There were play areas for the kids, and eating on the newer deck, outside the small restaurant overlooking the lake was quite enjoyable and peaceful. They also...

My wife and I were really looking forward to staying in a rustic cabin at the lake. We are getting older and cannot backpack anymore due to back and hip problems. Anyway, we found that the cabins were not maintained at all, with doors and windows not fitting. The curtains were tattered cloth barely covering the window. No lock for...

These were very nice people but they were told we were in the process of shutting down for the season! We only had a few cabins left open and tried our best to accommodate them as we do maintenance and work hard this time of year fixing things before it snows! These cabins were built in the 30's and 40's...

My husband and I planned a last minute trip to Huntington Lake last year and picked Cedar Crest because we heard an ad on KMJ radio for it. We didn't know what to expect, but when we got there on a Friday night, they had a BBQ meal and a live band. They had a firepit and a movie playing....
