We are so very sorry for your experience and we accept full responsibility, this should not have happened and what you did calling ahead to let the front desk know of a late check in was exactly the correct thing to do. There should not have been any issue with other people waiting to check in as you mentioned you were checking in late and there as already a credit card on file for room charge in case of a no-show. We are also glad that you were able to get this rectified through Choice and we will be forwarding this to the owners for review.
