The Inn consists of a group of charming cabins, uniquely decorated, and quite comfortable. Cleanliness was of high standards. The place had a fun, relaxing, and comfortable vibe.
We loved the hot tub in the woods, the goats, and the chickens.

We stayed in here February for a family trip to Mendocino. My husband and I shared cabins 3 and 4 with our best friends and their little girl. Cabin 4 was larger with a small kitchenette, plus fireplace and adjoined to cabin 3.
Great place. Not your usual spot. Quiet, clean and the owners/staff are helpful as well as entertaining. You might be put off by the appearance from the road. Looks a little dated and scruffy. But the uniqueness of the accommodations will win you over.
Stayed at the Andiron for a friends wedding. Loved the location and how the cabins had been decorated. The owners were very sweet. Really enjoyed the hot tub in the woods and the fire pit. Can't wait for another visit!

Hi Barbara, not sure what you mean by guesthouse -- the Andiron has a set of cabins (individual units). The town center of Mendocino is not walkable from The Andiron's cabins, there's a highway and it'd be dangerous. The Andiron is a small boutique type Inn so I don't believe they have a shuttle like larger hotels or chains. (I've never seen a shuttle.) Most people who rent the cabins have their own car. What you may lose in modern convenience you gain in delightful rustic character, if that's your thing.
