I booked a weekend at The Andiron on a whim after seeing it featured on a Bold Italic article of unusual getaways. So glad I did! My partner and I stayed in the "Play" Room, which came equipped with word search wallpaper and vintage board games. Mod/vintage decor. We enjoyed little bites at the Happy Hour hosted by the lovely...

My husband and I can here on the spur of the moment, I did a Google search and this gem popped up... We stayed in cabin 9 which is one of the suites it's beautifully decorated in a mid century theme... The BBQ AND kitchen facilities are great. But what sets this place a part are the owners who are...

My sister and I stayed in Curious-er and loved every minute. It was good to have two beds. Enjoyed all the items in the room and was happy the Oja Board was hidden in a drawer. Found the clown behind the bathroom door very amusing. Loved the vibrator chair but even more sitting on the deck. We had beautiful weather...

This was our second stay at the Andiron and it did not fail to disappoint. This time around we stayed in the Travel cabin (previously we stayed in the Art one). Both are fantastic, and well-decorated. Peaceful and secluded retreat. Very friendly and helpful staff. The amenities are great - jacuzzi, communal fire pit for s'mores, free happy hour &...

Very eclectic cabins w/ personality and charm! Definitely recommend this place and VERY dog friendly! Of note, it's not right on the coast (other side of the road) but it doesn't matter cause it's such a cool place! Great jacuzzi also! We would stay here again, and Kate is a great homemaker! She takes time to leave the welcome cards...

We were a family or 4 adults and 1 baby and stayed in the William and Mildred suite. The suite was spacious, the location was awesome and the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely stop by if you are visiting Mendocino.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and cannot wait to go back! It must be said that we did not experience all that the inn has to offer -- its hot tub, happy hour and goats. Our time was limited, but I have to say that did not mean that the service or attention was limited. We...

Funky is a great adjective for this place! It might not be everyone's dream of an escape but it introduced us to a new idea of an escape. There is nothing typical here. The people are unique, the character is unique, the approach his unique. If you want an experience, this is the place to stay. If you like posh,...

I want to start this off by saying that my husband and I travel several times a year for fun and leisure. We usually stay at 4 or 5 star places and understand you get what you pay for....usually :O) The evening we arrived the managers had left for the day. Our keys and a lovely welcome note were left...

I had done a bit of research, and The Andiron looked promising, but my friend and I were on an adventure; we made no reservations, just drove until we saw something we liked. We pulled in to a big plot of land just across Highway 1 from the ocean in Little River, cabins (2 units each) dotting the sloping landscape....
