This hotel is outstanding. My standard room was large, with a comfortable bed, lots of pillows, lots of drawers, iron and ironing board, classy-looking bathroom. Front desk was staffed late at night when I arrived. Everyone at the front desk was kind, taking all the time needed to help me find locations and transportation. And yet, there never was a line at the front desk. There are sitting areas in the lobby and in the hotel café, no rush, spend as long as you want to visit with friends and relatives, whether you are buying anything in the café or not. The café had bottled drinks and pastries, made breakfast and lunch to order, and became a bar in the evening. Again, just the nicest, most helpful staff.
Helpful housekeeping staff showed me how to adjust the thermostat – not intuitive - posting instructions on the wall would be a big help. Bring a clothespin or large safety pin, because the drapes do not close all the way to block the lights at night. Installing a grab bar on the wall inside the shower and another for walking in and out of the shower would help guests avoid falling.

Our suite included a fold out couch , a little sitting area with mini fridge, and a king bed. The bathroom was spacious too. The shower has a thoughtful design feature - the control handle at the door so you don’t have step in to turn on get cold/wet. The mini fridge had a warning saying it was just a cooler not a fridge. So it can keep things cool but not cold which we found true. We couldn’t keep perishables in it.
Being thanksgiving week we thought the area would be more busy but the outlet mall next door was empty. We were happy with some of the store sales. Parking is in the public structure next door. It’s supposed to be $16/ day but one day we were charged $17 we think because there was an event going on. We had a breakfast wrap, chocolate croissant and French toast for breakfast and liked them all. The waterfront area is pretty and a nice area to walk around. We’ll stay again.

This hotel is in a perfect location to be able to walk to much of what Long Beach has to offer. It's clean and modern, staff are friendly and helpful. The basic rooms are small and at this time the website descriptions are not accurate, but management is aware and working to correct this. My partner and I regularly stay at the Hyatt Regency also in Long Beach but had been meaning to try the Hyatt centric for a while. We were certainly not disappointed. It is a very cute boutique, hotel with rooms designed in a nautical theme. The service was impeccable and being that It’s a smaller hotel than the Hyatt Regency, They could provide more individualized service. It was also very pet friendly and we had our dogs with us all the time and were constantly greeted by staff and brought out goodie bags for the dogs. The rooftop pool is beautiful and the courtyard downstairs is very quaint. We like the market although we wish there was more of a full service dining option however, the Hyatt Regency doesn’t have that either so not a big deal. Overall 10 out of 10! Thank you to Juan, who is very helpful in the beginning and switching our room right away when we didn’t like the particular view outside onto the roof of the air conditioning. No hustle and bustle like some hotels in the area very easy and accommodating. We will certainly be back on our next trip.

I came to Hyatt Centric LB the weekend before Fourth of July to explore it as an option for holiday and summer festivities. I was quickly impressed by the humor and uncommonly friendly approach from hotel staff when I bumbled through the property trying to find the pool access. Every single person working there greeted me with a huge smile and had a comfort interacting with one another that let me know this was an A+ hospitality team.
Upon arrival to the pool area, I was met with whimsical and sweeping views of the Port of Long Beach including the iconic ferris wheel. The pool area and cabanas were spotless and the lounge furniture and chairs were cushy, perfect for a long overdue catchup with friends and Aperol Spritzes. Speaking of, the bar staff was knowledgeable with their drinks suggestions and highly personable even while the sun turned us all into sweaty monsters. Although there was some confusion with the delivery of a food order, I was particularly impressed by manager Paola's swiftness to correct the issue and the bar staff's swift handling of the matter. Paola was polite, deferential, and quick to make us feel at ease hanging out enough that we stayed for more rounds. We will definitely be coming back!

Hotel room was spacious and cleaned. Friendly staff. Parking is across the street in a garage shared with the retail shops for $16/day. Check in at 4pm and check out at 11am, option for late checkout at 12pm just need to need front desk know. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel was very good. The room was quiet, the darkening shades were perfect and everything was very clean. They only draw back was a baby crying in the next room which of course isn’t Hyatts fault. One bonus was the city owned parking garage about 25 yards away and they only charge $15 a day.

We learned this hotel is in a great location for our visit to the Long Beach Aquarium (Aquarium of the Pacific) and accessible to lots of restaurants & activities, as well as shopping. Parking is simple and reasonably priced compared to other hotels and parking options. The hotel staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful - attentive to all of our needs. The hotel is smaller than other nearby hotels so it had more of a boutique hotel feel. There's no jacuzzi at this hotel but a very nice pool area.

If you are reading reviews and are on the fence, stay here. The room was modern, clean and well appointed with great little touches like motion lights on the floor so when you use the restroom at night you don’t have to stumble around. Curtains open and close automatically with just a touch. Beds were very comfortable. Rooftop pool and bar are lovely, staff was friendly, restaurant in the lobby has great cocktails at night and yummy coffee in the morning. Every staff member was friendly. As for parking- I read a lot of reviews about how it was a pain to use the public garage- it isn’t. It’s steps away from the hotel and we had no issue finding parking. Utilize the available unloading zone in the front of the hotel upon arrival and the bell service for your bags, then go park, it’s fast and simple. Parking is $16/day which is reasonable. Location is amazing if you want to walk to everything. It’s in the Pike shopping plaza, it was great to be able to walk to shopping, food and area attractions. Kids had fun riding the train at the pike and there is a Ferris wheel and carousal there as well. On the weekend all the food trucks line up about a half a block from the hotel, pretty cool. Husband and I are pretty picky when it comes to hotels and this one did not disappoint.

Great location, close to the harbor, lighthouse, and beach. Wasn't nervous to walk around at all even though we had to avoid some riff raff, the area was still beautiful. We got in around 10am and they had a room available to check in early. The $50 early check in fee was a bit much for a room that was already ready, but totally worth it, allowing us to change and relax from an early morning flight before heading out to check out the sites.
Overall it is a great location and a great place to stay.
