If you plan on staying in Hollywood I strongly recommend you consider the Highland Gardens. The property is spacious, but the real experience is the staff. All were exceptional raising the service level comparable, if not exceeding that of many 4- and 5-star hotels I have stayed at. I had requested a flower be placed in the room for my...

Great location and cheap prices for the area. My wife and I stayed here for two nights because of the close proximity to the magic castle. We booked a one BR suite for around $170/night through Hotels.com. I had driven by the location many times over the years and had never really thought too much about it. I knew that...

I've stayed here many times over the past two years. Last time I called I received a free upgraded room for being a 'loyal' patron. I stumbled across this place while looking for an affordable 1 bd suite for myself and a friend. I'll admit upon pulling up I was a bit scared but once inside our totally renovated room...

We booked this hotel through Expedia, purely for it's location - it's only a couple of blocks away from Hollywood Boulevard and the Chinese Theatre, Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre etc. When we first arrived I got a shock - the outside is so dated, run down and shabby....I was expecting better but had been advised that Hollywood hotels can...

While this hotel only gets 2 out of 5 stars from another review site, we give it 4 out of 5 stars!! The hotel is a bit older, but the interior of the rooms are very spacious, clean, and have all the amenities plus some that I look for in hotel! For the price, they are a perfect stay while...

Old, tired and dirty. The card for our room did not work, the room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived and over the next three days the maid come at 4pm to tidy up. No room safe and it was easy to climb our balcony to get in as the door didn't lock. The best of all was the bedbugs....

My sister and I found this property to be a safe, clean, inexpensive hotel close to Hollywood Blvd. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Yes, it is an old 1950's hotel and the hallway carpeting and lighting gave a shabby first impression until we stepped into our room. Fresh carpet, paint, bedding, and fixtures and a kitchen! We could...

We recently spent five days in Los Angeles for a short vacation. Three of us were travelling and we sought a hotel that could comfortable accomodate us in one room/suite. After many hours of internet searching, we stumbled onto the Highland Gardens Hotel. I have to admit, I was skeptical because it was only rated with 2 stars and the...

Before I write my review, let me say that I'm a 25 year-old male, and stayed at the Highland Gardens with my 21-year old brother. We were looking for a place that was cheap and in a good location. We do not demand hotels that have aromatherapy lotions, flat screen plasma TV's, etc. We stayed at the Highland Gardens from...

My boyfriend and I spent a week at this hotel and had a perfectly good stay. Ok, I was also a little miffed as to why the disinterested receptionist wanted my card for a $100 deposit, but I asked the right questions and got the right answers. I would suggest that anyone who stays here & is faced with this...
