I checked in over the 4th of July with some friends and had an amazing time. The front desk staff (specifically Dillon) was always friendly, the housekeeping staff were accommodating and attentive and the management (Lindsey) remembered my name. What more could you ask for? The location was literally off the beach and great. The hotel was a little older... More

Tired old hotel but reasonably priced for the location. No drink making facilities or fridge. Homeless sleep on the street outside the hotel. We were warned not to venture on the Boardwalk after dark.

This hotel is right on Venice beach and about a 30 minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier. The rooms are standard, we stayed in an Ocean Suite and were comfortable. The beds are adequate. The hotel is older and it is noticeable. No AC in hotel (which we knew before booking) there are ceiling fans and windows open, however... More

The hotel was quite run down..could desperately with a revamp. Quite smelly. Hidden extra costs of parking $25 per day plus boutique fee of $8 per day! We stayed 3 days ..that was an extra $100 just like that!!! Quite noisy on an evening. No ocean views. On the plus side, nice and central. The end.

Great location if you want to stay beach front at Vencie Beach! Even if you pay 5* for 2* quality. The rooms are CLEAN, and cleaning service daily. That matters! Beds ok. View great. No meals included but across the street there are 3 places to eat.

Good location on Venice Beach. Clean roms and changing of towels everey day. Simple standard, decent beds. As everything in LA it was expensive, especially due to the standard. Breakfast not included, couple of good diners nearby. Actually some very good restaurants across the street.

So I went into this knowing it wasn't going to be fancy but for the money right on the beach was only hotel in our budget. Read a mix of reviews and can say it exceeded expectations. I booked it through Groupon and actually paid about $125 a night. Parking was an additional $25 a night and it's a super... More

The location on Venice Beach is fantastic, although it is in the more run down quarters. But nice, inexpensive restaurants and breakfast places nearby. Very clean bathroom, good shower! The room itself is basic and no decorations at all. Keep in mind that the place is over a 100 years old. But the beds were good, also the extra bed... More

If you're looking for one or two night stay to enjoy the beach in the local artist in food this will be your place. At least 10 different restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The pier in muscle Beach Park just wait. Located in downtown Venice Beach

The Cadillac is located steps from the boardwalk and beach. There seems to be some sort of construction project going on just off the lobby, maybe a café or bar going in ? No noise from this, just a large space with no obvious reason to be there.. If you're looking for haute luxury, go elsewhere. Amenities are few, no... More

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
