My family owned this motel back in the early 60s. (It was the Encino Ritz back then.) Believe me it was no dump; we worked hard to make it a beautiful place to stay, relax and enjoy the area. It was extremely family friendly. From what I saw there today it has gone down so far,,,I would imagine there isn't...

Appears this hotel caters to prostitutes and their clientele. Not a family friendly location. The number of men milling about doing "gardening" appears to be protection for the girls in the rooms. That last part is an assumption, the prostitution is verifiable.

Located on Ventura Boulevard in downtown (*?*) ENCINO, perfect location -- out of the hustle-bustle business of LA. Staff was helpful, amiable, and gracious. The room was comfortable, clean. I slept well -- no highway noise, no loud guests. Value was good, cost less than my motel in Firebaugh and it was worth significantly more. For two wheeled road warriors,...

Stayed a few nights ago. Television barely hanging on the wall, writing on the mirror in permanent marker, dust has turned into dirt since it has been so long since it was cleaned, showers had icky substance on tile, and the receptionist is guarded by bullet proof glass. Would never stay here again.

Had to stay this morning at this hotel, as I work night shift and my house is under construction. Walked in at 7-30 am. The dude behind the counter quotes me $75 per room. - But your website states it's $70. - Oh, ok. You want 70 - fine. Then he looks at me (I still had the uniform and...

I stayed at this small, heavily asian-themed motel for a few nights.  The prices were reasonable for the area and the furniture seemed to be fairly new.  Overall, it was good experience and I'd go there again.

We have just returned from a weekend trip at the Tokyo Inn. The hotel is outdated, dirty and it did not feel safe at all. If you can avoid it, please do so.

From the outside it looks like a standard, run of the mill motel, but you are in for a treat. The reception area has some wonderful oriental furniture, and an incredible picture on the wall On entering any of the the rooms, you see a trip to the orient, with all the wonderful oriental furnishings. When I was there, the spa...
