We only stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Fantastic value for money. The rooms were exceptionally large and were not expecting the amount of space we had which we were extremely pleased with. Only downside was that the room was so cold on our diet night but we then asked for a heating which we were given for the...

Compared to all the other low-budget options out there, this hotel is a head above the rest. The historic building is charming, potentially eerie if you're into adventure, and has a very classy bar / restaurant by the front lobby. The rooms are clean, carpeted, and spacious. The bathrooms, however, could use an upgrade, and the towels should be replaced....

Ideal stay to get a true taste of Hollywood. The atmosphere was amazing - loved the pictures, the old-fashioned elevator, and the appearance of the room. Such a break from boring modern US hotel chains!

I stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas vacation and found the hotel very close to many areas around Hollywood. Got 3rd floor king size room there was lot of renovation going on and it was smelling paint all the time. Thankfully rooms were clean. The AC will only cool so need personal heaters. There is a new restaurant near...

This historic hotel has a small elevator (worked well, and at least they have one). The room was large enough for our needs, the bathroom has been updated, the water was hot, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby has several chairs and a few small tables nicely spaced. Many photos of movie actors from...

Okay, to tell you the truth we picked this location for three reasons: the price, its proximity to the places we wanted to walk to during our trip (including Paramount Studios, The Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and the Hollywood Farmers' Market) and for its kitsch appeal. We fully expected the hotel to be a dive, and were pleasantly surprised to find...

We stayed there for two nights on a vacation to CA. We were extremely disappointed by the hotel and the room. The lobby is basically non existent and the elevator is for sure historic. The room is where we were the most unhappy. it was not clean and not hotel like. One chair and the room was very very small....

Single night stay for business. Staff up front is helpful and friendly, and with a sense of humor as I trudged into the lobby soaking wet from unexpected precipitation. Parking is extra, as expected for the area, but seems safe and plenty of spaces. You can feel the history as you walk around the lobby, from the old-school door on...

We stayed in this hotel because of it's close proximity to the Philippine consulate. The hotel and room is clean considering how old it is. It does have an old smell to it but not to bad. The bathroom is ok for an overnight stay, parking fee of $10 is reasonable. The only thing is that we were cold in...

The hotel is very interesting and very attractive. The room had a comfortable bed and was very clean. Unfortunately the night we stayed, there was a water main break and we didn't have any water till the evening. Although not their fault nothing was offered for our inconvenience. My only other problem was with the woman at the front desk...
